  1. I would chop of my pinkie toe for a homer here
  2. Oh please, gods of baseball.... let braun get a hit here.
  3. I *DO* think he caught it. I admitted as much when I said in a previous post "I was wrong, he caught it."
  4. If not for the ball dribbling away from the wall it would have been one of the greatest plays I can remember this season. But that notwithstanding, Hart has been just abysmal.
  5. Man o man, that is too bad that Bush had to come out. He was doing as well as anyone could have asked for. Victim of circumstance there. Our bullpen has been quite solid through this series though, let's hope that continues.
  6. Yeah, I'm with you pebadger. I'm more upset about the two total crap "strikes" on Counsell than I am about the Hart call.
  7. Run or no, nice job by Stetter. That run was pretty much a foregone conclusion. Time to mitigate the damage.
  8. Ditto on benching Hart. He has been a complete liability in all phases of the game for over a month.
  9. Guh. On further review, you are right. That is crap. He caught that.
  10. Oh my god. Does Corey Hart have 10 grand on "Phillies in 3" or something?
  11. bee ess on both strikes 2 and 3 there. super lame.
  12. So are we seriously going to trot out Jeff Suppan on Saturday if the playoffs hang in the balance? God I hope not. Somebody...ANYBODY...besides Suppan. Otherwise it's likely to be 8-0 before I find my seat.
  13. Yost was well-compensated for his buffoonery.
  14. I really don't see a downside to this move. You can't do much worse than 3-11 in September with the playoffs on the line. Either it sparks the team or it doesn't. If it does, great. If it doesn't, Yost was a dead man walking anyway.
  15. If Durham doesn't start tonight, and the majority of nights from here on out, Yost will cement his position as the biggest know-nothing ignoramus manager ever to disgrace the steps of a major league dugout. All Durham did last night was come off the bench ice-cold and put us a position to win a game in which we were sucking a duck (of course they blew it anyway, but it wouldn't have even been close without durham's shot), and all Weeks did was boot two more ground balls whilst flailing wildly with his increasingly impotent bat. Durham has got to be wondering what in hell he has to do to displace a guy with no glove, a batting average on the wrong side of .230, and an OBP that would shame most 7 and 8 hitters, let alone a leadoff guy. Yost's blind loyalty to Weeks is nothing short of stunning.
  16. Certainly didn't expect this post to be 100% applicable on consecutive nights, but that's what "getting Yosted" is all about I guess.
  17. You're right, I suppose during these harrowing times we should take solace in the fact that just about everyone else but the Astros are sucking roughly as hard as we are right now.
  18. It's not Yost's fault that nobody can hit, but he's certainly not helping by batting our worst hitters in the bottom of the 11th.
  19. again, we sit through kendall and counsell in our last-gasp inning. WEAK.
  20. Everyone who left probably feels the same way about the players right now.
  21. alright, got some speed on the bases
  22. okay, okay, but there's no way braun wears a size SIX collar...
  23. I feel a Brauny HR coming on. No way he wears a size 5 collar tonight.
