  1. I want to go to that place that Jim Carrey went to in "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and have my memory of this game erased forever.
  2. razzzor, I apologize in advance for my snotty response. You're completely right, I'm just ranting and raving like a lunatic (which I am free to do in the vent thread, but probably should not do here) because this game just sent me into a rage. With complete sincerity, I'm sorry to all.
  3. Oh give me a break. Fans throw around the word "hate" in sports all the time. I am quite certain I am not the first. If you honestly think I wish Derrick Turnbow physical harm, I assure you I do not, and I apologize for offending your sensibilities. But he's getting 3 million dollars this year to pitch like that. I'd absorb a lot of verbal abuse for that kind of dough, so I'm not going to feel too bad for him.
  4. Boooooo, Jeff Suppan. Boooooo, Derrick Turnbow. Boooooo, Ned Yost. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Worst. Game. Ever.
  5. Melvin seriously has no choice but to cut Turnbow after this debacle of a game. Could he honestly ever be inserted into a game at Miller Park again? He'll get pelted with batteries, for crying out loud.
  6. Nice move, Ned. it's NINETEEN to FIVE. Somebody will get themselves out by sheer accident at some point sooner or later. It might be five runs in the future but who the hell cares at this point. Why burn up Stetter? We may need him tomorow in a game we might actually have a prayer of winning. Struggling to decide who I hate more, Ned or Derrick. I probably won't have to worry about Derrick much longer, though.
  7. No need to feel bad for Turnblow. He's still got his paycheck to cheer him up.
  8. Turnbow. Pff. At least with Suppan, we were all mildly surprised that he coughed up a 6 runs in one inning.
  9. I am horrified that this game is nationally televised. Fortunately, I'm sure 99% of the country changed the channel hours ago.
  10. Wow, Turnbow is pitching his way to oblivion. If he's not DFA'ed in a week, it's because he's got pictures of someone.
  11. I hope that this latest power outage is just a result of the fact that this game was over before it started. YoGo should give us a reasonable chance to win tomorrow, provided we can provide more than 5 stinking hits.
  12. I would have to imagine that hitting 3 3-run homers off 3 different pitchers in the same night has never been done before, but who knows. And if it has been done, I can virtually guarantee it happened against the brewers.
  13. http://www.sharpdimensions.com/photos/Zane_barf.jpg
  14. Ryan Dempster is not this good, and I remain convinced that fact will bear itself out over the course of a season. We are just this bad right now.
  15. Well, that was a short-lived hitting renaissance. Less than one game. I guess even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. Now, back to our customary place in the crapper. Barf.
  16. I thought the exact same thing. When a struggling young player finally starts to heat up a little bit, you throw a bucket of cold water on him? That makes a hell of a lot of sense.
  17. We've still got the 6th, 7th, and 8th, and I'm sure we'll see a Turnbow sighting. I'm sure we can eclipse 13-1 if we really buckle down.
  18. Brian: "Well, it's a short night for Jeff Suppan." I'll wager Jeff Suppan would disagree.
  19. That's fine, Billy. Let's everybody just get all of that out of their systems right now. In fact... let's have a Derek Turnbow sighting tonight. Might as well drop one more turd in this punchbowl.
  20. wow, what a cut by Lee. I think first base is probably the safest place for him, Jeff. edit: or not.
  21. I can't wait until June when I can just turn a game like this off and go do something outside. Now, I'm stuck in my man cave and I am psychologically incapable of stopping this self-abuse.
  22. JEEZ, suppan. Probably not a good sign when Dumpster hits two balls right on the screws in his two at-bats.
  23. Cute kid. Crop out the Ned Yost ball and that's a nice picture.
  24. Oof, I thought I was emotionally divested from this game, but I guess not. It burns. it burns so bad.
