  1. Fewsh, thanks for proving us doubters wrong, Capellan. I had visions of a majestic Preston blast to the upper deck running through my head there, I must admit.
  2. Aaaaaahhhh. Got by Taveras and Berkman unscathed. Nicely done Cappy! what a night he's had.
  3. Poor base running aside....whatever Cirillo had for breakfast this morning, he should stick with it.
  4. Oh no - sportsline.com shows Capellan up in the bullpen? Confidence....ebbing.... I think we need a few more runs.
  5. Not to swat a hornets nest or anything, but that's 20 K's now on the year for Jenkins, vs. Carlos' 5. Come on, Jenks, you looked like you were turning it around for a while there.
  6. All right, Brady's been on base 3 times tonight. Maybe he's finally turning this around.
  7. I couldn't agree more...but then again when it comes to Wynegar, I love to hate. Still, I do not see what possible drawback there would be to replacing him. We flat-out stink at the plate, especially with RISP. Replacing him would have either no effect at all or be an improvement. There is nowhere to go but up. Now, I'm sure there's not exactly a glut of qualified hitting coaches sitting around eating peanut butter sandwiches on the sofa at this point in the season, but I sure hope they take a good long look elsewhere by next spring.
  8. I'm pretty sure the Brady Clark Torch and Pitchfork Brigade will be out in full force tomorrow morning at the office.
  9. Why don't they get Capellan in the mix more often? ball...ball...ball...strike...ball oh.
  10. The brewers are making it tough on us today, no doubt...
  11. better douse this little fire, here, Geoff
  12. I agree...I do not see what Butch Wynegar brings to the table. At the beginning of his tenure, fine, I'll cut him some slack...he had zero to work with. But now, the brewers seem to be loaded with potential. Granted, these guys are young...but MAN. They can *NOT* hit with RISP. They are up there hacking at garbage, and they did the same thing all of last year. I am sick that Wynegar brings home a paycheck probably 10 times bigger than mine every week.
  13. Maybe it's the beer talking, or maybe it's just the frustration, but I think I would like to see a lot more of Gabe Gross and a lot less of Brady Clark and/or Geoff Jenkins.
  14. I feel good about having Carlos up...he's the one guy on this team that shows any ability of making the clutch play right now, be it with the bat or with the glove. I'm about ready to start beating the "Can Wynegar" drum here...this team still cannot hit with RISP...a rerun of last year. I don't care if it's Wynegar's fault or not. What's the worst that could happen? We STILL can't hit with RISP? Oh well, nothing new there.
  15. Really? Huh....okay, I retract my snarky comment. Our leadoff man would kill for that OBP.
  16. Dang! that man is deadly on the basepaths....if only he could get himself to 1st with any regularity.
  17. Rickie's got to start heating up one of these days...no time like the present. Come on, young'un's!!
  18. http://www.nobodysells4less.com/images/tums_ultraberryflavor-antacid.jpg
  19. gaaaah. I think I'd like to see Ned yank T-bow sometime when he pulls this crap. Send him a little message. "Um, Derrick, that is NOT cool."
  20. Maybe we should let Carlos toe the rubber and close this one out for us. He's done everything else today.
  21. Thank god we already made it past Pujols and Rolen last inning... Turnbow (assuming you are our man in the bottom of the inning) let's not make this one too interesting now, okay? A nice boring half-inning would sit very nicely right about now.
  22. All aboard the Billy Hall, Starting Centerfielder Bandwagon! Plenty of room still available, but seats are going quickly! I still like Brady Clark, but man, he is making it awfully hard.
