  1. It could be important for Dana to go deep into this game for more than just his survival and the result of today's game. The Pirates went 18 innings yesterday and depleted their bullpen as a result. If Houston can get to them again today and Eveland gets a good start, it will give the Brewers a huge bullpen advantage going into 4 games in Pittsburgh.
  2. I'll be there and I'll take an OF spot if you need one filled.
  3. You can always try prayer, it worked for Reggie White.
  4. Thanks for the thread. I was going to go to the Willows tonight and tear the cover off a few and then hit a bucket of balls, but I was unaware that they were closed.
  5. If Fielder doesn't go, I believe there are 3 choices - Cirillo, Koskie, Hall. I think Hall should be able to pull a 1st base glove out of his tool belt, but Koskie probably plays 3rd and Cirillo 1st.
  6. I noticed a lack of volunteers to pitch. I can do that if needed a well as play Outfield or catcher if needed. I have a decent arm for the infield, but not from the corner OF spots (at least not if you want any Jenkins type plays).
  7. Sorry I couldn't make it. 2 sick calls at work today. Since there are only 3 of us, I obviously couldn't get out of here. I just want to know why I wasn't invited to last nights party. See you Thursday.
  8. When I worked nights I loved these west coast games because I could always catch at least some of it. Now that I'm on day shift (and work the weekend) I'll be out by 10:30 and will miss the end. Kind of like when I was a kid and I had to ask my dad in the morning if the Brewers won.
  9. Yesterday JDLR was good, so it looks like Ned wanted to ride the hot hand. Oh well, lets try someone else.
  10. I sense someone getting knocked down if we keep this up. Lets pray for the rain to slow down.
  11. Looks like I'll be stuck at work today. But then again, with the weather not looking so hot, maybe practice will be called of or shortened anyway.
  12. I'll be there with my wife and 2 little kids, but they probably won't eat much (if at all). I definitely will try some of the legendary cooking though.
  13. I'll be there this week.
  14. I was hoping to see the offense get going and put up a nice first inning. It seems like guys like Tracs are only hittable early and late. I hope this doesn't mean we won't hit again until the 6th.
  15. I'm currently streaming the game through 620wtmj.com. I don't think this is supposed to occur, but maybe there is a glitch. Edit: Nevermind they just said that they can't stream the game, I just got the pre-game.
  16. It looks like I'll also be unable to attend. Work calls.
  17. Since we are playing on Thursday nights anyway, would it make more sense to practice on a Thursday night? Daylight savings hits this weekend, so it should be light out till about 7 or later. This may allow more people to practice as weekends are full of family events, work for some of us, etc.
  18. T-Bow is getting it done, but its been ugly. Lets hope its the same tonight. A loss here would be a crusher.
  19. Thanks Brady, I'm felling a bit better.
  20. It looks like Davis and someone else after him. I'd liek to see a few more runs.
  21. How much longer does Helling go? His pitch count is getting up there. He's probably good for the 6th, but who does Ned go to after that. Considering last night, does he try a new guy (DLR, Obermueller, Santana?) or does he give Eveland or Lehr another shot? This could still get interesting.
  22. Once through the order! Keep it up Helling.
  23. Hardy reminds me a lot of when Loretta played short. They both look solid, make plays, and show adequate range. I think Hardy can be better than Loretta as he gets more confidence and develops more chemistry with Weeks and whoever plays 3rd. There have been a few plays this year (like Wednesday night when Weeks collided with him) where there was tenativeness. I'll still take his d-fense over a guy like Jose Valentin, who had great range but was unpredictable and prone to make really bad plays.
