  1. I was there about 3 years ago. Wasn't a Brewer game, so I just bought a cheap ticket and moved around to various sections. The ushers didn't bother me except when I sat right behind the dugout. The local food vendors were pretty good and I recall that the prices weren't bad. They had a large bobble head display - if you're into those. Overall nothing remarkable, but it was adequate.
  2. In case anyone is interested, the single game tickets for the Brewer series went on sale today. Game 1 starts at $64, the others at $51.
  3. The Brewers play the As in Vegas June 8 -10. Apparently the As are restricting sales to people on their Las Vegas Season Ticket List. You can join the list for $19. Has anyone done this with the intent of buying tickets for the Brewer games? The stadium they're going to play in has a capacity of 10-12,000. While I expect that tickets will be available on the secondary market, they may be relatively expensive.
  4. More of Sal at 3B? Can't believe that is the preferred version. Maybe they think Jett is ready to play?
  5. We're collecting lefties. Ashby, Koenig, Zerpa, Gasser, Hall, S. Peralta, Zastryzny. I'd suspect that one or more of these guys needs to be in the rotation.
  6. Never say never, but I would also be concerned about the lack of depth he'd provide at SS. While I think he'd be OK in a pinch, if he was on the team, I could see the Brewers moving Turang to short when Ortiz came out of the game. While Urias is league average OPS+, he isn't a difference maker. Although he has some of the same SS issues as Urias, I wonder if Gavin Lux (if non-tendered) would be a better fit.
  7. Most analysts think the Brewers will pay the $100,000 buy out and go to arbitration this off season. They probably save a $1,000,000 by doing this. But either way, he's in Milwaukee for 2026. I think he's a key element of the team chemistry and attitude, but chances are he's going to test the free agent market in 2 years. He'd be 30 years old for the start of the 2028 season and I'd suspect that the risk/reward is too much for the Brewers to take on unless the economics of the league change.
  8. My thought all along was that we should have used Priester in game 2. Don't put the young guy into a hostile environment in game 3 after a heavy bullpen game. I would then use Quintana in Game 3 as a veteran playoff pitcher.

  10. Yelich is 6 runs from 1000 (10th among active players).
  11. I don't buy the whole argument about teams getting rusty. After the divisional round, a team that sweeps could have to wait 4 days for their competition to finish their 5 game series. Many critics are arguing that the division series should be 7 games. That would result in the potential for an even longer layoff for teams that sweep. However, do you think any teams will try not to win the series in a sweep just so they don't have to rest? They'll all take the sweep and the days off. If teams were worried about getting rusty after a 4 days rest they can always have some of their non-roster players pitch simulated games, scrimmage, have batting practice against machines, etc.
  12. I thought Vinny Capra was going to be the guy. With DL Hall and Devin Williams needing 40 man slots soon we may see a few other tough decisions.

  14. Exactly. In this analytic era and being super careful with pitch counts, I see the team running into issues at some point and needing to rotate arms. They're relying on Peralta (who doesn't go too deep), Miley (who has injury / age issues), and guys like Ross and Ashby with injury problems. Then add in the young guys who haven't pitched heavy innings yet, and we might see some heavy use of long relievers and creative IL stints. I see a few games in which a starter gets a 5 IP, 12 ER line just so they can save the bullpen a little. My gut says Rea could be the guy to "take one for the team" once in a while.
  15. He did a nice job in the middle innings last year, but I wonder if they will also explore stretching Bryse Wilson back out into a starter role. Wilson, Ashby, and Junis appear to all be good fits for the multi-inning reliever job but could be starters. Maybe they find a way to rotate these guys through roles to limit innings.
  16. I'd suspect its for a bottom of the 40 man player from Milw or a low ceiling prospect. 2nd year arb eligible with MLB Trade Rumors predicting $2.2 million salary. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/12/royals-trade-taylor-clarke-brewers.html
  17. Santana also at 976 runs scored. Rowdy with 92 HR Yelich at 290 2b, 190 HR, and 183 SB They may all be a stretch.
  18. I wish him luck - starting next week.
  19. Looks like he'd need to be protected on the 40 man in the off season. Good Strikeout numbers, but doesn't walk many. Good SP depth option moving forward.
  20. I can live with that.
  21. Yep, I think they add at least 1 catcher from AAA. Probably not Keston, but depends on how the trade deadline and rest of the season plays out.
  22. He has always been an above 100 OPS+ hitter. The 2017 & 2018 seasons were awesome, and I wish he still had that performance level. However, its looking like if we can get something like the 2016 and 2017 seasons we could still have a very valuable player. He's trending right at that level this season.
