  1. Cirillo, our best pinch hitter? I think you seriously overlooked Ned's secret weapon, Chad Moeller.
  2. Maybe it would be a good idea to take a few pitches in that situation? I hope that pitch was at least right down the middlehttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif Oh well, bounce back boys.
  3. Wow that was a fun inning. I haven't had that good a laugh in a long, long time. How much worse can the Cubs get? They have lost this game due to a lack of simple fundamentals. I realize the Brewers can be frustrating to watch, but they are so much better than the Cubs on half the payroll. If I were a Cubs fan, I would have shot myself in the face after that inning.
  4. I am all for Jenkins being moved down in the lineup to sort things out, but tell me there isn't a better option than Koskie in the 3-hole. Yost's infatuation with the left-right-left-right thing is getting out of control and I don't usually criticize Yost. I would rather see Hall in the 3-hole or Fielder (but I think they are still trying to protect Fielder a bit). Just my two cents. This post was started before Koskie's hit, but I still stand by my opinion.
  5. Starting to come together Skip! Nice win today. 16-13 Thank you Carlos and Geoff. Middle relief, I forgive you.
  6. Not that this would happen in a million years, but it would be kind of cool to intentionally walk Feliz just to K Bonds to end the game.
  7. Prince is a defensive liability. *sarcasm* http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Nice play Prince!!!
  8. Thanks for the stress reliever Team Canada!!! I edited my previous post to be sure to point out that I was indeed being sarcastic when I said Jenkins 3-4 night was meaningless. Sorry for getting everyone excited. Let's go D-Bow! clap-clap-clap-clap-clap
  9. Let's get him in boys. Damian = The King of Opposite Field Doubles
  10. It is interesting to note how Jenkins does look bad in certain at bats and that seems to stick in people's minds. Take last nights game. Rather than remembering the 1-2 pitch he lined to left center in his 1st AB, the shot off the wall in deep center in his 3rd AB, and the two strike battle to guide a single up the middle in the 9th, people choose to remember the flailing strikeout. I guess he'll never get the credit he deserves from some people, but oh well. I appreciate you Geoff. Nice job by Wise to recover from that leadoff double. Sorry everybody. I will be more blatant in my sarcasm next timehttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. It's because Jenkins never gets hits when it matters. They usually just come at times that pad his stats. Like last night. He went 3-4 in a game we got shut out. Totally meaningless.
  12. I agree with you rluz. Hall had a good at bat down 0-2. You can't come up with the clutch hit every time and Lidge made a great pitch. A belly high 96 MPH fastball is not that easy to catch up to. I was more disappointed with Koskie, Weeks and Miller in the last inning not making Lidge throw a few more pitches.
  13. A few thoughts on tonight's game and the season... I can't fault the team for giving up, that is for sure. Could the bullpen please hold a team where they are when the Brewers take the lead/start mounting a comeback? Lidge was clearly struggling and Koskie and Weeks and Miller let him off the hook with poor ABs. I understand that Lidge is tough late in the count, but he was not his dominating self tonight. I am not ready to jump off the bridge like many. This season is obviously not over. Has it been a frustrating road trip? Yes, but you have to expect the good and the bad with a team with so many young players. Hopefully the Brewers can salvage a game tomorrow and go back home above .500. There are 148 games left and the team is at a respectable 7-7, finishing off what is going to be by far the toughest road trip of the year. Let's get one tomorrow and get well at home. Prince, Lee and Jenks are all locked in pretty well. Could be a fun next couple of days providing we can get some pitching.
  14. Prince has raked at every level he has played. I am not worried one little bit, but that was cool of the fans to let him know that they weren't worried either. You can't toe the ledge because of two bad games, especially with the rest of the lineup raking like they were tonight. And Edgar, this was not in response to you...I got the sarcasmhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  15. This Wilson AB is eerily similar to Carlos's yesterday...hopefully not the same result.
  16. Weeks is making me nervous too.....if the guy keeps getting on base like this, I don't know what the Brewers are going to do. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  17. Brewers team OPS today...... 1.788 Wow.
  18. Jenkins with 12 RBI in September already. If he continues to hit at this pace, he could reach 100. I doubt he gets to 100, but if he finishes the year .290, 25 HR and 90 RBI, that would be an unbelievable turn around.
  19. Then again. Branyan could have done that.
  20. Good call. We need a contact hitter in this situation.
  21. Good call Duluth. I now realize why I should not have been optimistic.
  22. Not over yet. We are only down 1 run!!!!!! I know the offense is not hitting but to say that the game is over is ludicrous. The negativity is killing me
  23. Knowing La Russa, I am surprised he did not pitch fastballs to JJ, then intentionally walk Sheets only to have Mac fail to score the run anyway. Then he will probably have a position player pitch the 8th while pinch-hitting a couple of pitchers in the 9th and still winning the game 1-0 just to rub it in.
  24. Way to do your job Miller. Please oh god of baseball. Let us score this run. Should have gotten a live chicken I guess.
  25. Please do not strand Billy Hall. That would just be salt in the wounds of the offensive funk of this series.
