    Now we have to try to win with an offense that can’t score and a Dan Campbell look alike. Awesome.

    There was already one out. Why would you bunt when there’s already a runner in scoring position and 1 run wins the game?

    I mean when Cooper Pratt and Joey Ortiz are your options at the plate to try to win a game it’s probably not going to go well.

    Murphy just does not handle bench/bullpen decisions well at all.

    When Bauers hit that long foul I thought he was going to end up walking it off. Then when he took a hanging curveball right down the middle on 2-1 I knew he was going to chase a pitch out of the zone to K.

    Great challenge by Sanchez. Kind of a weird rant by Rock about it. It wasn’t an egregious miss and that’s why we have review.

    Because his name is Christian Yelich and he’s the face of the franchise for this era of Brewer baseball. Not saying that’s a good reason. But that’s the reason.

    2 for our last 860 with runners in scoring position. Haven’t checked that number for accuracy but it has to be close.

    Thing is he’s pretty useless on the bench, too. Can’t even play a position so it’s not like you can plug him in for defense. All you can do is bring him in late against a righty or PR him in the last inning or two for Vaughn or Sanchez.

    Can’t remember where I saw it, but someone posted his numbers against sliders/sweepers this year and it’s downright horrific. I think he’s pretty well cooked. I don’t know if he has enough left to justify him being in the regular starting lineup by next season,

    I don’t know if he’s a clutch hitter yet, but he’s definitely available, which was the other qualification. And with the way the offense has been going, we need to try something to get a spark, just like we did with Pratt.

    I’m sorry, what? Are MLB players dropped off by a stork into the stadium for their MLB debuts with 5 years experience already under their belt, or do they have to actually get an opportunity first and then potentially become good players? I guess Pratt needs to get his butt back down to Nashville and we’ll have to talk to the Padres and see what we need to give up to get Rengifo back.

    I’m as hard on our guys as anyone about bad challenges/non-challenges but I have a hard time faulting Sanchez on that one. It was super borderline. Probably a win but not an obvious one.
