  1. Because it’s a baseball game and most are pretty 50/50? First week watching baseball?
  2. This series has sucked and the timing is disappointing. But I mean, we have the best record in MLB by 4 games over 3/4 into the season. A little perspective is good here. Tomorrow isn’t a formality for either team. The Brewers have a good pitcher going and could win and leave Chicago with a 7 game lead.
  3. This game should have been won 3-2 or 3-1. I said it earlier in the GT, Miz’s stuff means nothing if he has innings where he completely loses composure and can’t find the zone. The hype from the first couple outings is long gone. He won’t make it at all in the bigs, much less develop into an ace, if he can’t win the mental game.
  4. No one is talking about winning 25 of 30. I'm talking about winning one game tomorrow. Which should absolutely be the current task at hand.
  5. Watch us completely turtle in September, blow a 9 game lead and division to the Cubs, only for things to start clicking again in October and win the World Series as a Wild Card just as everyone had given us up for dead. That’d be hilarious.
  6. Right. I really hope they can salvage a win tomorrow. 7 feels a lot better than 5.
  7. Probably not, but we did erase a 5.5 game September deficit against them in 2018. It’s far from insurmountable. I understand it’s baseball, but we really had a chance this series to basically put this division to rest, and we couldn’t capitalize.
  8. Heck, no reason to focus on the Giants then. Might as well just fold up and get ready for next year if you think we can’t win one singular game against the Cubs with Priester pitching. Just ridiculous logic. The Dodgers have lost 6 in a row to us. I guess no reason for them to think they can even take a game from us in the playoffs.
  9. Woke up 9 games up yesterday . Going to bed 6 games up today and lost the tiebreaker. The division race isn’t over, folks.
  10. Collins isn’t really the guy we want up here with the way he’s been swinging the bat. But here we go…
  11. If we are already conceding game 5 to the Cubs in which we have Priester going, that’s a problem.
  12. Similar to yesterday . Plenty of traffic early but can’t capitalize, and no threats at all late.
  13. My fear is the Cubs’ schedule won’t leave much margin for error in September. It’s insanely easy.
  14. I think I’d prefer Lockridge, who at least forces some pitches, over Perkins right now, who just isn’t offering anything right now.
