  1. How are we this bad 😂
  2. Anyone else gotten addicted to Dynasty in the last few years where redraft just doesn't give you that fix anymore? I'm in 5 dynasty sleeper leagues. One redraft league through ESPN, but if I'm being honest I don't really give it the attention that I give the other leagues.
  3. I think it was a panic, spur of the moment decision, but still, that's your job as HC. Have to be thinking one step ahead. You ideally want to leave Mahomes less than 10 seconds. Seriously, even 15 can be too much. Get up to the line, keep the timeout in your pocket, sneak with Mayfield, would have gotten much closer to that target time. It's also nice to have the timeout in your pocket in case something happens with a running clock and you need it to stop the clock and avoid a 10 second runoff. Had they scored with 10 seconds left or so, they would probably have gone for 2. Or maybe not, but I think it would have been the more logical call with less time remaining when you're pretty sure the 2 is either going to win or lose you the game.
  4. By the way, hate to be so blunt and direct in a personality criticism of our head coach, but does MLF not come off as a big baby anytime he comes off a loss and has to answer some tough questions? Does great after a victory with the softball questions. Not so much after taking an L. He complained about how annoying it is to sit there and answer questions about Jordan Love's performances. Uh, yeah, it's a pretty big talking point. It's their job to ask, man. I get that it's not the most fun thing to go do, but it comes with the territory. Especially in a game where maybe things lined up for him to not be such a great option this week.
  5. About the best optimism I can offer is that this kind of has the feel of this time last year where we just clearly aren't in sync, aren't playing the football that we're capable of, just really a lot of young team struggles, only this year we are 6-3 instead of 3-6 or whatever we were at this time last year. So there's still hope that by the end of the season, much like last year, things will be clicking on all cylinders again. We were clearly a 2nd half of season team last year, hopefully the same is true. My hope was that this season we wouldn't see as many of those first half struggles as we worked through most of the initial growing pains last year. Unfortunately, progress is not always linear.
  6. You really need to change your team identity if you're scared of playing home games in January. That's pretty bad for any organization, but especially one like Green Bay that used to pride itself on the immense homefield advantage. I assume paying Josh Jacobs was a part of trying to change that identity. I'd also argue that most of the current Packer offense has had either little or no experience playing in a cold weather game at home to know what their identity is in those conditions.
  7. Flacco has Sermon wide open for a 1st in the flat on third and 2. Instead he throws into double coverage downfield, hangs Pittman out to dry, gets him hurt, and then they don't convert on 4th and 2.
  8. Aaron Rodgers
  9. Of course Joe Flacco, who looks like the comeback player of the last 2 years, decides to look like a total pumpkin again when he goes to Minnesota.
  10. I also want to add that if you're going to receive to start the game, you damn well better make it worth it. All it takes is coming up short in the redzone, then giving up a TD and you're behind the 8 ball. I'd far prefer to try to play good 2 minute offense near the end of the half and get a 2 for 1 possession to end halftime/start the 3rd. Keep in mind 2 other ways in which this strategy proved costly today: 1) Detroit has far and away the best 3rd quarter offense in the NFL. 2) If we had a possession coming up after halftime, there's likely less desperation down 7, and quite possibly, the pick 6 never happens.
  11. This is mostly correct, but I'm not reading too much into the yardage totals today. A lot of game script and flow involved in that, and obviously Detroit could have capped off their final drive with another score. I have no doubt they could go for 400+ on us with the appropriate situation and conditions. I'm not going to say we were dominated today, but just far too many little things that you can't do to have a chance against a football team like this. Jordan's pick 6 was a turning point but this is a Matt LaFleur loss. You have to have your team disciplined and mentally prepared going into a game like this and he failed to do so.
  12. Quay Walker is an absolute liability on defense. They've got to take a long hard look at him during the bye week, do the right thing and send him to the bench coming out of the bye.
  13. Winning the division looks highly unlikely after today. I think we'd have to sweep the rest of our division games.
  14. We'll probably lose this game 24-21 on a last second FG and the Packer faithful on Facebook will be saying "Garshh!! If it weren't for 3 missed field goals this year we'd be undefeated!"
  15. The Packers still are in position to do some things this year, but much like they did last year left, they need to get a lot better and a lot healthier before the end of the season. Being down 4 scores and 3 scores at home in your only divisional games is not a good look.
  16. I don't want to hear any excuses about the conditions for all the drops today. The Lions' pass catchers caught the ball just fine all day.
  17. That's your creativity coming out of a timeout that you burned when you really couldn't afford to burn one with the clock stopped? I'm embarrassed for you, Matt.
  18. Wicks is a player that you essentially need to go up and place the ball in his hands to avoid him dropping it.
  19. Operating way, way too slow on offense for a team down 18 points in the 4th quarter.
  20. By that logic, I'd guess 90% of NFL games could be considered competitive around halftime. Yes, the Lions did one very idiotic thing (well, 2 by the same guy) this game. We've done about 10. It is part of the difference between the two teams. Yes, we coulda shoulda woulda drove down and maybe gotten a field goal and not thrown the pick. We didn't. The Lions made a play, and we didn't. Even if it hadn't happened, it'd still be 17-6 right now with the Lions having the ball right now. I don't know why you are dying on this hill that we're on their level and have competed with them today when that clearly isn't the case. It doesn't mean that we can't get there. But right now, as of today? It's not close.
  21. Oh yes, let's punt on 4th and 3 down 21. That'll give us life.
  22. I mean, the fact that the Lions lost one of their best defenders for the game and then started absolutely smacking us in the mouth is pretty damning evidence of how much better they are than us. At least right now. I'm not happy about it. But it's clear that we have a long ways to go.
  23. Aside from robbing valuable game reps from a more deserving LB, is there anything that Quay Walker does well?
