  1. I couldn’t tell if the hurry-up before the TD run by Jacobs was by tempo design or to try to make sure Campbell didn’t challenge the previous ball spot.
  2. Yeah, this is true. Truthfully I don’t think Detroit is going to drop the division, even if they lose this one, and we’re essentially certain to be in the playoffs. So I’m not sure the W/L today is of huge importance, even though it would definitely make the division more interesting. But the only meeting that will matter between these two teams is the 3rd one.
  3. Badly needed that 3rd and 10 and got it.
  4. Not challenging an unwinnable challenge would have been great, too. MLF has a long history of making emotional in-game decisions that come back to bite his team later.
  5. Looks like more or less a carbon copy of the first game. A far better coached and more disciplined team that makes the two or three big plays in big moments during the game against a team that clearly didn’t learn anything from their first meeting.
  6. I’d be less surprised to see them cough up the ball than I would be with a 107 yard return.
  7. Never a doubt. Hafley just pansted by Ben Johnson.
  8. I wish he had just scored. Would have been better for us. They’re going to score anyway.
  9. As he does on almost a weekly basis, Matt Lafleur putting on a clinic in poor clock management.
  10. Tip of the cap to Matt LaFleur on this one for blowing a timeout on a pointless challenge in the 1st quarter that had no chance of success.
  11. No more time honored tradition in Packer football than to play good defense for awhile while your offense struggles and then when your offense finally breaks through, just piss all that momentum away immediately and get completely carved up on the following drive.
  12. I know they scored anyway, but that pass to Kraft is a touchdown that you expect a high school quarterback to be able to complete, and Love missed it by a mile.
  13. If I’m any head coach, I’m telling my team “talk smack all game and keep your hands to yourself, it takes nothing to bait these guys into flags.”
  14. Against a defense full of backups.
  15. The disparity in discipline between this two teams is clear.
  16. I saw Watson carrying that thing like a loaf of bread and called that fumble before he even dropped it.
  17. They have stepped up defensively nicely since the first drive. But they have to find a way to move the ball.
  18. I don’t think anything in football aggravates me more than committing 10 yard penalties on punt returns where you don’t even return the ball. And it happens CONSTANTLY.
  19. It’s good to see Campbell finally pay for his constant stupid 3rd and 5 handoffs.
  20. Gotta have a dumb challenge in there tonight in honor of Eberflus.
  21. When you can’t move the ball against a 3rd string defense, that’s 100% being outcoached.
  22. We are kidding ourselves that we are on the same level as the Lions. They’ve got their JV defense in and this is still a mismatch.
  23. Zero resistance by the Packer D.
  24. I know I will get ripped to shreds for this, but I’ll never understand why people seem to need to give Montas credit for more than the mediocrity that we got from him. Is it just because we want to be convinced that Arnold made a great deal? Montas was not awful, but he certainly wasn’t more productive than a decent back end of the rotation starter. Comparatively, Junis threw only 16 less innings after the deal, far more productive innings at a fraction of the cost. Perhaps he will be better in 2025. I am just fine letting the Mets be the ones to find out.
  25. Can’t tell if this is serious or not, but the level of conspiracy that would be required for a league-wide fix, and the several hundred people that would have to be in on it, are way beyond anything that would be realistic to pull off without numerous leaks and whistleblowers.
