  1. Not directing this at anyone here but I never understood why anyone ever downplays or upsells the importance of any individual game just because of what happened in the rest of the series. Each game is uniquely important and counts the same in the standings, it's not like a set in volleyball or tennis. A "series" is really nothing more than a lump of games played at the same location against one team. I'm sure I've done it too lol. I just wonder if it is a mental thing more than anything.
  2. Maybe we can get some help from Atlanta for once tonight.
  3. Can't be mad at Wilson. Offense had opportunity after opportunity to close this thing out today and they could not get the job done.
  4. Just not a good job by the offense at all as far as situational hitting today.
  5. Well the good news is, we play on. The bad news is, we play on.
  6. Completely silenced by the likes of Junis and Suter. Yikes.
  7. Haunted by the ghosts of Brewers past today.
  8. Other than a tough first week, Junis has been very good for the Reds.
  9. As long as a lefty is starting, so pretty much today only.
  10. Man Hoskins is so SLOW.
  11. Myers has had better days, but he also gave us almost 6 innings and 2 earned runs in an extreme pitchers park on a day when he lacked command. I'll take it.
  12. One pitch. That'll work.
  13. Would have liked to see Myers get through the 6th but he was definitely at the end of his rope. Got away with a bad location on Marte but then India ripped the next one. Hopefully Koenig can work out of it.
  14. "Don't tell anyone it's store bought" You brought them in their original cans, sir
  15. Brewer Hicklen. Who are you, sir?
  16. *Mark A strokes his chin thoughtfully and checks his piggybank as he sees Willy Adames homer again*
  17. I could also do without seeing the Miller Lite commercial with the guy shrieking "it is both!!! It's both!!" for probably the 800th time.
  18. That's not even bad. Typically wouldn't demote one of your top starters of the season to the pen because of one month of having an "ok" xFIP.
  19. How many dominant closers have a regular 3rd pitch anyway? Seems like the vast majority are two pitch players. I agree, I don't need him horsing around with a mediocre 3rd pitch just to have a 3rd pitch. They're not hitting his other two. If Devin ever runs into problems it's almost always because of command of his two pitches, not because he's not keeping hitters off balance with the two pitches.
  20. Would be shocked if Devin isn't coming in to close this thing. If not him, Megill.
  21. I want Ashby to be for our bullpen what Josh Hader was for it in 2017 and 2018. I realize that may be a bit on the optimistic side.
  22. If you're going by the best combination of stuff, upside and performance, I'd think it would be Tobias.
  23. Pretty poor team performance tonight. Still have a chance to win because the Reds are not very good and we are, but outside of Chourio, Adames, Perkins and Ashby, the entire team has played poorly.
  24. Our 1B platoon guys are a combined 0 for 7 with 5 Ks and a pop up. I'm not saying we need the prime of Prince Fielder at 1B but anything is better than these two. If Yelich can play 1st at all, next year is as good of a time as any.
