  1. One pitch. That'll work.
  2. Would have liked to see Myers get through the 6th but he was definitely at the end of his rope. Got away with a bad location on Marte but then India ripped the next one. Hopefully Koenig can work out of it.
  3. "Don't tell anyone it's store bought" You brought them in their original cans, sir
  4. Brewer Hicklen. Who are you, sir?
  5. *Mark A strokes his chin thoughtfully and checks his piggybank as he sees Willy Adames homer again*
  6. I could also do without seeing the Miller Lite commercial with the guy shrieking "it is both!!! It's both!!" for probably the 800th time.
  7. That's not even bad. Typically wouldn't demote one of your top starters of the season to the pen because of one month of having an "ok" xFIP.
  8. How many dominant closers have a regular 3rd pitch anyway? Seems like the vast majority are two pitch players. I agree, I don't need him horsing around with a mediocre 3rd pitch just to have a 3rd pitch. They're not hitting his other two. If Devin ever runs into problems it's almost always because of command of his two pitches, not because he's not keeping hitters off balance with the two pitches.
  9. Would be shocked if Devin isn't coming in to close this thing. If not him, Megill.
  10. I want Ashby to be for our bullpen what Josh Hader was for it in 2017 and 2018. I realize that may be a bit on the optimistic side.
  11. If you're going by the best combination of stuff, upside and performance, I'd think it would be Tobias.
  12. Pretty poor team performance tonight. Still have a chance to win because the Reds are not very good and we are, but outside of Chourio, Adames, Perkins and Ashby, the entire team has played poorly.
  13. Our 1B platoon guys are a combined 0 for 7 with 5 Ks and a pop up. I'm not saying we need the prime of Prince Fielder at 1B but anything is better than these two. If Yelich can play 1st at all, next year is as good of a time as any.
  14. Just needed Rhys to not strike out and at least move the runner over, so of course he strikes out.
  15. Yet Civale has better numbers over the same stretch (in ERA, not necessarily all peripherals, but it's a very small sample size). No one is talking about him as a #2. Frankie has been decent. Again, he's allowed at least 3 earned runs in all but 2 starts. What am I missing here? That's not someone I'd want taking the ball in a Game 2 for me.
  16. Really great job working out of the potential damage my Ashby.
  17. We get 2 extra roster spots tomorrow, but we could have 3 if we DFA Jake Bauers.
  18. Think we need to pump the brakes on him a little bit. He's had a grand total of 2 good outings since we acquired him and people are talking about extending him.
  19. Montas managed to turn a solid outing into a poor one with a couple very ill-timed walks.
  20. Ok nevermind, just go get him. Can't keep walking the leadoff man.
  21. Second and third nobody out and our big FA acquisition pops up the ball.
  22. Probably have to. Short outing from Rhea a couple days ago and a doubleheader yesterday has put the pen in a vulnerable spot. Would be nice to add a few more runs so we could feel better about it.
  23. Alright, 3 might not win this...let's add some more.
