People raging about the Bears not taking 3 points when they could last night is hilarious to me, because not a single one of them mention that the Bears scored both their TDs on 4th down plays in FG range.
To be clear, I wasn’t one of those offended by it or insisting that Ben Johnson “apologize”, that’s ridiculous. They won last week, they can celebrate as they like. It just makes tonight all the more enjoyable.
On other up and coming teams, even division rivals, I might tip my cap right now to a great season.
But after their little gloat fest last week, nah, eff them. I enjoyed this every bit as much as their cheese grating and locker room theatrics.
For any Bears fans who are taking this as a moral victory and tHe fUtUrE iS bRiGhT, as a fan of the 2023-24 Green Bay Packers I regret to inform you that it is never that simple.
The Wisconsin baseball team beat the Chicago baseball team and it was pretty much their championship and then they went on to lose to Los Angeles.

I didn’t see the specific play, so I can’t speak to that play in particular, but I see plenty of opportunities for pass plays in similar situations with <2:05 in a half.
I never understood why coaches never seem to figure this out. If there is 2:03 left when you snap the ball and you’re trying to run the clock out — the clock is going to stop after the play no matter what you do. Freaking pass and try to catch them off guard. How is it so hard to think of?
