  1. Or a Jets fan.
  2. “We’re never going to be replaced by AI robots as football players.” Great take, Tom.
  3. Absolutely insanely stupid penalty. This is not Detroit, man. This is the Super Bowl.
  4. Well, get used to it. I haven’t heard a peep about us moving on from Bisaccia.
  5. Average is rewarded in Green Bay with a contract extension. It’s been made very clear that as long as we can fill the stadium and be able to point to teams like the Jets and Browns and say “see those guys have it WAY worse”, we aren’t going to rock the boat much with the front office.
  6. Wow, good for Patriot fans, has to be so rewarding to see their team finally make it back, So deserved, can’t imagine how tough the dark ages of 2022-2024 were for them after the Brady/Bellichick era. Next time someone utters the words, “Packer fans are so spoiled,” I’m going to move to Boston so I can be as spoiled as they say I am.
  7. If the Packers even win their conference next year that will be 16 seasons between Super Bowl appearances. “Modern era” is obviously subjective. But for perspective, the current drought is longer than the Mike Holmgren to Mike McCarthy Super Bowl drought.
  8. I don’t know much about Gannon other than he seemed to be a really bad HC. But I’m assuming he must have been a pretty good DC to get that gig in the first place. Hopefully one of those much better coordinator than coach types,
  9. I can’t imagine any more Bucks move than trading our 2031 to try to cling to the play-in tournament. How is this the only Wisconsin sports team in the modern era to win a championship? Because they’re by far the most poorly run.
  10. It didn’t last for the long haul, but 2005 and 2006 Bill Hall was the gold standard for “utility player”.
  11. Woodruff, Miz, Priester, and Patrick all look like locks or near locks for the rotation to me. So that’s maybe one open spot for one of Henderson, Sprout, and Gasser. Maybe they look for a Quintana veteran type for camp, but I don’t think they have a depth problem.
  12. They got that, no? Jett and Sprout both are MLB ready players. Jett should primarily play SS and CF. Assuming Chourio is going to play more in the corners going forward, SS and CF are probably our two biggest areas of need for improvement in the lineup.
  13. They’ll play the service time game with him for a couple weeks. Then he’ll be up. IMO.
  14. Well, there are no guarantees. No one felt this way about Joey after his first year, he looked like he made it worth it himself after one year, and then he regressed. But Burnes would not be on this roster now regardless.
  15. When they traded Corbin Burnes it made the 2024 Brewers worse, and they still won 93 games and the division. The Brewers will always be in the position of having to make tough choices that make their next season worse to hopefully make the 3-5 season after that better. Just the way it is, and the main reason they haven’t had to rebuild since 2016.
  16. Like I really thought everyone here would be in love with this. It’s a versatile top 30 prospect with control, pop, speed, and can get on base. He can probably be either a super sub or be an immediate upgrade from Joey. And a fringe top 100 pitcher. I don’t get how anyone can possibly be disappointed. It’s Myers plus a year of Freddy. We were never going to re-sign him. What was anyone expecting? This is the literal highest of high expectation that I thought we could get.
  17. How is 17 HR in 486 AB “almost no power?”
  18. I’m so shocked that anyone is upset by this. It’s one year of Peralta plus a fringe guy in Tobias. I never would have dreamed that would fetch a top 30 MLB prospect plus a really good pitching prospect.
  19. Almost always, when we trade for prospects, most of us are left going, “who?” and doing a Google search. This is not one of these trades. Fantastic get for a year of Freddy plus Myers.
  20. I doubt I will see a Wisconsin Badger national championship in my lifetime. But I would have considered an Indiana Hoosier national championship even more unlikely.
  21. Anyone think we would have had a chance against Seattle? I imagine we will probably would have gotten shredded, but I just was curious if anyone felt differently.
  22. I don’t think Campbell looks lost on the sidelines, but losing Ben Johnson obviously hurt. The Lions were a perennial dumpster fire before Campbell took over. People don’t want to have this conversation, but most of his aggressive calls are in fact correct, and some of them not working out does not in fact mean they were wrong. There is this new trend going around where every coach who goes for a 4th down and fails in field goal range gets absolutely shredded by fans on social media who all assume they can just add 3 to the final score of their team and that “would have been” the result of the game but they always conveniently ignore the points that they get when they go for it and succeed.
  23. I’m not concerned about the regular season record relative to talent level. I think he’s proven that he can win enough regular season games. It’s in the playoffs when the stakes are higher where his lack of delegation skills really get exposed and he gets outcoached by better delegated coaching staffs where one guy isn’t trying to manage 75% of the aspects of the game by himself. It’s hard for me to watch the Packers/Bears playoff game without coming to the conclusion that Matt Lafleur is indeed, holding them back.
  24. Despite their aggressive tendencies, I'm easily taking Campbell or Ben Johnson easily. Kevin O’Connell might have done the best job of anyone in the North to go 9-8 with that QB play. So yeah, easily 4th.
  25. The “not positive we can find someone better” is just code for “scared of change”. There’s never any guarantee of the next guy being better. It’s not like Bill Bellichick looked like a hot coaching hire 25 years ago or whatever it was. And there was certainly no one in January 2019 saying “we’ve got to get that OC Lafleur out of Tennessee, he’s the next great coach.” If there is no moving on from Lafleur until we can be positive that the next guy will be better than we might as well go ahead and give him a 25 year extension.
