  1. Rengifo is not the guy you want up in a big situation. We are finally paying a price for having bad players on our roster this series.
  2. I’m okay if we need to have a little bit of a bad stretch. The organization has been largely complacent just standing pat on everything, even the weaknesses, because the wins have still come. It’s been clear that some roster upgrades have been needed at the lower spots on the 26 and maybe a few losses will give them some motivation.
  3. We don’t have any starters to trust at all after Miz and Harrison. Crow has done a nice job but it was never a super sustainable thing.
  4. I rarely advocate for a splash move, but this team could probably use Skubal more than any other contender. Not only would be a huge needle mover for the playoffs but it would make a big difference for the season once he’s healthy. Currently they have Miz and Harrison and then they just cobble together crap for the other three spots and hope to score. That’s the current rotation.
  5. Nothing. He looks like Eric Thames except instead of having the actual power of Eric Thames he has the power of Joey Ortiz.
  6. Predictable results from the bottom of the order.
  7. I could be totally wrong about this but I’d guess that no other contender has a player with a -10 OPS+ on their bench with over 65 ABs.
  8. I’ll take the run. Got some time to get the other two back.
  9. Nice patience by Chourio on that AB. Did swing at Ball 4, but didn’t bite on the next one.
  10. Rock: “Houser has been good (this season). I mean, not that great.”
  11. For those who think, we have to keep rolling with Ortiz no matter the bat because his glove is that good, pretty clear message from the Brewers that nope, there are limits.
  12. I genuinely thought Murphy might start Perkins today just to troll us.
  13. This was someone’s (appropriate) response
  14. Cover your eyes with this proposal seen on Facebook.🫣 Hey, we get to keep all our prospects.
  15. I don’t really want to see Matos. I just think basically anyone is a better option than Blake. He's been atrocious since last August. He needs to be somewhere other than here. This isn’t working. We haven’t been through Lara because he hasn’t had a shot to show anything. It is not going to destroy his development if he doesn’t get starting ABs for a few weeks until Lockridge returns. I understand that Perkins has a limited role but his ABs and his innings still matter.
  16. I see no real problem with just DFAing Perkins, giving his spot to Lara (who is clearly going to be on the 40 within a year anyway), and calling him up. I know people are worried about the playing time for Lara, but I don’t think just giving him a cup of coffee for now so he can get acclimated to the bigs, and potentially go back down when Lockridge comes back up, is the worst thing. That would be my move. You have your extra OF and a switch hitter. I know people are worried about burning an option, but if you’re going into the 2029 season and fretting about Lara being out of options, then you probably know by this point that he did not work out anyway.
  17. Not many can compete with my 35,520 🤣 (I probably shouldn’t be proud of that.)
  18. He sent him up there to sac bunt, what difference does it make? Perkins has 3 successful sacrifices in his entire career.
  19. Luis Lara. Luis Matos. Jett Williams. Heck, Akil Baddoo. Someone available in trade. The best available free agent outfielder. There is nowhere to go but up.
  20. Murphy: (Perkins) “has hit the ball really well against RHP” Sir, .182/.270/.273/.543 is not good. It just isn’t .000/.086/.000/.086 historically bad, You’re not grading on a curve. If a player with 4 season HR stands next to a player with 0 season HR, that does not make the player with 4 HR a power hitter. Good heavens.
  21. When you give Blake Perkins a crucial at-bat in a 1-0 game in the 8th inning you deserve to lose 1-0.
  22. Thanks for playing, Brice. What a miserable AB.
