  1. Quintana, Hall and Megill are all going to be good to go. Peralta, Priester, Uribe, Ashby, Mears, and Koenig are all locks. That leaves 2-3 spots for Zastryzny, Miz, Patrick, Myers, Anderson, Fedde, and Gasser. That’s assuming Henderson isn’t a go. Plenty of guys who could get a nod over Miz and Gasser.
  2. It would be right on point for the Brewers to lose like 12-2 tonight and get absolutely annihilated celebrating the 1 seed in the locker room.
  3. I could easily see the Cubs snuffing out the Brewers in 4 games in the NLDS. Or I could see the Brewers start to swing the bats better and get to the World Series. No playoff outcome would surprise me much.
  4. You can’t make a serious case for Miz on the playoff roster over Myers or even Fedde.
  5. The good news is we might actually be able to eliminate the Mets from the playoffs this year.
  6. Help me understand why we had success with Frelick (and occasionally Turang) leading off, and in the 11th hour we decide that Yelich is our leadoff man.
  7. He doesn’t profile much differently than Ortiz — slick fielding RH middle infielder with a pretty light bat. Kim is probably an upgrade, but not enough to justify 18-20M a year.
  8. I don’t know what is going on with Turang sometimes. You have times when there’s no one you’d rather have up and other times when it looks like he has a hole in his bat. How do you completely whiff on an 0-2 mistake like that?
  9. Can we just get Frelick back in the leadoff spot, get Collins and Durbin back in the lineup, and get these guys comfortable and consistent heading into the playoffs, rather than screwing around with all these different defenses and configurations with two games left in the season? It seemed to work just fine in July and August.
  10. Yeah the Phils just won. I really don’t want this to end up coming down to the last day.
  11. Well…. They may need to win a game, first. I’m not sure if the Phillies have another loss in them.
  12. I understand what you’re saying and to an extent, I can’t even argue with it. It’s awesome what we’ve been able to do against the big name clubs this year. However, the name of our game has always been able to maximize the most out of what we have. We have to, to be successful. If money were no factor, no GM in baseball would take our organizational talent over the Dodgers. Thats no knock against us. It makes our story even better. But we’ll always have to have some luck fo our way to hold the trophy at the end of the season. We can’t win on paper.
  13. I think it’s awesome to have a consistently competitive ballclub that always gives us something to play for in September, usually in October, and gives us many fun regular season moments along the way. I think that absolutely has value, I think the experience, the journey, has value. I also can sympathize with those who won’t be satisfied until the ultimate goal of a World Series is achieved, who feel the massive disappointment of heartbreaking postseason exits like last year, and want so badly for the team to take the big step into the limelight and no longer have a stigma attached to the Brewer name of being the team with great regular seasons who can’t get it done in October. I won’t invalidate either of those viewpoints and I don’t think that either needs to be wrong for the other to be right.
  14. I think this is a good thing. We wouldn’t have a chance against the Dodgers and Phillies of the world if it weren’t for randomness/luck. Especially with the injuries piling up. Hopefully the luck will swing in our favor for a change.
  15. You’re a Cubs fan. Also, a “taco organization” derives from a show called “The League,” where the character Taco cluelessly runs his fantasy football team, and a taco organization refers to a poorly run, disorganized, chaotic sports organization. Bizarre race card drop, though.
  16. Well, doesn’t look like we’re going to lock up the 1 tonight. Phillies breaking it open.
  17. Don’t look now, but Danny Jansen has been pretty good lately.
  18. Wahh, wahh, wahhh Fermin. It was a strike.
