    I’m not even saying it sucked and I’d do it again. I’m just saying that the declarations of it being an absolute massacre proved to be premature.

    Durbin, Monasterio, and Seigler have a combined WAR of 5 this season, and Harrison, Drohan and Hamilton have a combined WAR of 4.8 this season, for those who wore themselves out running victory laps around Fenway earlier this season.

    Jake Bauers has had a really nice season, but that’s kind of the thing. Jake Bauers should not be the best hitter on the lineup of the team with the league’s best record. That is an offense that did not work out well.

    I will say I'd have a very strong preference for him pitching at home in the playoffs than on the road.

    Watching Rengifo hit a salami against us after months of complete ineptitude feels like a fireable offense in itself for our hitting coaches.

    I’m not going to definitively say “the Brewers are going to piss away this division” but I don’t really have a counter argument right now for anyone who believes it.

    This infield defense is completely different without Pratt and Ortiz and it just cost a run.

    Just wanted to say Walker Buehler absolutely sucked that inning. This was no “tip your cap” inning. He sucked, and our offense made him look like it’s 2021 again. Good hitters would have absolutely punished the garbage he offered that inning.

    Contreras doesn’t challenge 2-0, would’ve walked, gets a meaty 3-1 cutter right down the middle, pops it up. Yelich, takes a pitch right down the middle, fouls off a 92.5 cutter right down the middle, hacks at a changeup outside for the K. This is why you guys got moved down.

    I think if everyone in the lineup had gone 3 for 4 tonight they probably would have won.

    Only needed one reliever tonight is the only positive I got. They’re in trouble if they don’t start scoring. They have 7 games against the Cubs left and anything less than 3 wins in those games is going to be a problem.
