  1. Mmmm, poutine and Brewers baseball. I love the thought of that combination.
  2. Dwayne Mosely. I *was* disappointed with that call. He wasn't highly regarded by Brewer fans. I believe he replaced Merle Harmon(?)
  3. Don't mind seeing the Braves out of it. No way can I stand the tomahawk chant.
  4. Ugh, frustrating. After 30 minutes in the waiting room, I got through. Game 1 - couldn't get two together, so I selected two SRO and put it in my cart. Game 2 - none available Game 3 - none available Game 4 - two for SRO, put it in my cart. Go to checkout and find the Game 1 tix aren't in my cart. I go back to Game 1 and could not get two, only one. Put it in my cart. Twelve minutes to reserve my purchase. Need to logon. Haven't used my password in over a year. Request a new password, arrives in ten minutes. I have two minutes to spare. I reset my pwd and go to buy my tickets. The system indicates time expired and kicks me out. Everything in my cart is lost. I guess StubHub is my friend.
  5. Don’t we want this though? Yes it is, and we're all rooting for the crocodile. Did something happen to him during his summer in Appleton that he finds Wisconsin so off-putting?
  6. Ditto. Both plays. Spot on. Takes away from the enjoyment of the game a little bit.
  7. My initial reaction to Moose's hit was that DeMathieu snagged it and we're going to the eleventh. I wasn't able to pick up the ball even with the HD. So that took the initial joy out of it. But watching the team celebrating got me into it.
  8. I had WSCR on coming to work. Pundit: "Bryant has appeared gun shy after taking that pitch to the face. He'll need the off-season to get his head back together. Maybe he has PTSD?" Caller: "They struggled because not enough team speed. The guys are too slow." Caller from Racine: "I've noticed Bryant's numbers started declining right after he got married. Maybe the Cubs should trade him away."
  9. After watching the WC game, I would keep a designated runner (Broxton). One run can be all the difference.
  10. The clean up crew is best in the Biz. Why? Is Baez on the cleanup crew? MVP!
  11. Was that mentioned on the air?
  12. And you have your answer. Ugh, I missed it. Did they switch it? They showed the flagpole after Rizzo's flyout. Despite calm winds, it was obvious the gold flag was on top.
  13. And you have your answer.
  14. Rockies and Cubs to the "loser's bracket". Brewers await in the championship bracket.
  15. That was the very song going through my head today.
  16. Though the start times not optimal, it's doable. Get home around the 4th inning on Thursday and Friday head over to some place after work to watch the ending.
  17. Not sure which thread to put this, but one thing not mentioned during this last month is that I felt going into this season the Cubs still had what it takes to be the premiere team in the NL for the next three years or so and the Brewers quick re-build was slightly mistimed. I thought Stearns was rebuilding the club just so in the end they would be playing just for the wild card. This month proved me wrong. The time has come today.
  18. It would be great to have a large enough Brewers fan contingent to chant "lets go brewers" and psych out both teams... Wearing their DIVISION CHAMPIONS T-shirts and caps!
  19. I didn't have time to crunch some numbers this morning, but I did so now out of curiosity. Say for discussions sake, the home team has a 55% chance of winning a given game. Then, p(W/WC) = 0.55 p(W/LDS) = .519 P(W/LCS) = .524 In other words, a #4 seed chances of winning the pennant is .126 and the #1 seed 0.272. So the breakeven point is (.126)/(.126+.272) = .316 So if the Brewers had a better than 31.6% chance of winning today then yes, go all in from the start.
  20. Following on MLB Gameday, like I had to from Mid-May to mid-July when I was working second shift. So it almost feels just like a regular game.
  21. I have a little bit of this mindset. How can you be the best team in your league if you weren't the best team in the division? That's why I want today's game badly.
  22. My in-laws are doing the same with my nieces, OTOH they are home schooled.
