  1. I was at Tropicana four years ago. Not sure what insight I can give you. Feel free to PM me.
  2. Off topic, curious to see Ottawa do a bi-lingual press release.
  3. OFF: P Rob Zastryzny, 60-day IL ON: OF Greg Jones, selected The 40-man roster is full.
  4. "Wisco" > "Wisky"
  5. I'm 60 and still have cable. When the time eventually comes where cable is obsolete, I'll be ready to die.
  6. OFF: P Sammy Peralta, DFA ON: OF Luis Matos, acquired The 40-man roster is full.
  7. OFF: OF Akil Baddoo, 60-day IL ON: P Jake Woodford, acquired The 40-man roster is full. It's Opening Day.
  8. Yep, ironic the women are still playing after the men are done. IIRC, this happened a couple of years ago as well.
  9. As someone who sees the value wagering on the 11- and 12-'s, not being able to place on High Point because I'm in Wisconsin...
  10. Nerd question of the day - who is the host school for Portland? Portland U? Portland State? Oregon?
  11. Another Olympics comes to a close. For me, this one will be more memorable than Beijing. Nice to see Stolz shine some love on Wisconsin. It's been a while. Now, I get to spend the next two weeks on Peacock catching all the stuff I missed. I should be retired four years from now, so I should be able to properly binge watch the French Alps games. France is only six hours ahead, so most of the stuff will be live, like it was this time.
  12. A good day to be a Badger. I went in thinking the hockey game was going a nice relaxing watch ended up getting pretty anxious. My favorite player with tying goal to keep it alive. The best part of the winning goal was I able to see it trickle over the line. After the game I had took up some background. Goaltender Frackel was the one who got punked by Daryll Watts in the 2021 NCAA title game. Swiss phenom Lani Muller was also on that Northeastern team. I remember watching her as a 15 year old in the Sochi Games and thinking "Johnson better get her". Stolz takes silver. Unfortunately, the result was spoiled but still watched to see how it played out. He was in the final pair and knew before hand he had his hands full, the Olympic record broken twice just minutes before hand. The Chinese Ning with an out-of-body performance. Stolz was a -2000 favorite.
  13. A nice huge win for Shiffrin. Unfortunate breaks for the 2nd and 3rd place racers, but Mikaela is the GOAT. Watched on Peacock with the British commentators, then on NBC with the American commentators. Both have pros and cons. Some people rag on some of these folks and say what you will, at least the commentators on the American feeds know when to get excited, adds to the viewing pleasure. USA medals in XC sprint relay, an exciting finish. Women's race entertaining as well. Missed the part with the dog loose on the course. What is with the American who skis cross country shirtless?...twice. -- Today, USA v CAN in the women's hockey final, again. This is on my to do list as soon as I get home. Stolz races again today.
  14. ON: 3B Luis Rengifo, signed The 40-man roster is full.
  15. ON: C Gary Sanchez, signed The 40-man roster is at 39.
  16. The signing has yet to be posted on the Brewers site, I was looking for it.
  17. OFF: 3B Caleb Durbin, traded SS Andruw Monasterio, traded 2B Anthony Seigler, traded ON: P Shane Drohan, acquired P Kyle Harrison, acquired 2B David Hamilton, acquired The 40-man roster is at 38.
  18. Breezy Johnson wins gold in the Women's Downhill. Loses a little luster when Lindsay Vonn crashes out 13 seconds in. I was up at 4:30 to watch live. Not to diminish the seriousness of the situation, but it was interesting to view the rescue effort and everything that went into it and how the event handled it. Thirty minutes in all. NBC cut away after the 24th skier, so I switched to Peacock. Then the Andorran skier (#26) crashes and had to airlift her out as well. Since it involved Andorra, NBC didn't feel the need to mention that. Then the competition finishes up with the South American skiers (Chilean and Argentinian). ETA; The addition of drone footage during the Alpine races is pretty cool.
  19. The two terminuses of Interstate 90 battling it out in The Big Game. Patriots DB play impresses me. Now, waiting for social media to blow up.
  20. Badger women playing sloppy defense.
  21. Interesting Opening Ceremonies. Apparently, multiple site games are now the new normal. I thought having the Parade of Nations at four different locations simultaneously was outside-the-box thinking and pulled off well.
  22. I'll chime in on my desired order: Patriots - the city of Boston has been good to me. Seahawks - Seattle is my second favorite city. (The Hail Mary doesn't bother me. A poorly played game neither team deserved to win). Rams - I've enjoyed my times in L.A. Broncos - Elway belongs in the Hall of Shame.
  23. OFF: P Freddy Peralta, traded The 40-man roster is at 38.
