  1. This is terrible news. My heart and prayers go out to the Cordero family.
  2. Jon Heyman just tweeted this. http://twitter.com/SI_JonHeyman
  3. Jennings has a career MILB OBP of .384. That is a ton better then Escobar ever had. Also, I understand this is a Brewer board but I am willing to bet 25 out of 30 GM's would rather have Jennings over Cain.
  4. 85 wins will not be enough to win the WC. But I do agree that it could win the division. I think we also got to remember we will have a full year of Axford closing as well, if you remember Hoffman cost the Brewers like 4 or 5 losses in April alone last year.
  5. I slept on in and I decided I am going to be excited for this trade. We just got a lot better for 2011.
  6. I remember hearing that Melvin said he wanted to get 2 new starting pitchers. Well the first move has been made. I wonder who the second guy will be?
  7. So we just traded our best prospect for a 29 year old pitcher who we will have control over for 2 years and is only 2 years removed form Tommy John Surgery?
  8. I watched a highlight they had of him on MLB.com. And during the inning the announcer was talking about a conversation they had with Marcum and he was asked to describe himself as a pitcher, his response? "I have below average stuff, but I am a bulldog. I win games on grittiness and heart and determination"
  9. jonmorosi just tweeted that he hears its Lawrie as well but it is not confirmed
  10. Hadricourt "A source in Toronto just confirmed to me that Blue Jays like Lawrie, so the Brewers might have had to surrender him to get Marcum"
  11. Haudricourt just tweeted: "Still working on what the Brewers are sending to Toronto. I heard pitching but I know they coveted 2B Brett Lawrie, a Canadian "
  12. I am getting more of a bad feeling about this. Marcum is really solid but I hope we didn't use a major piece/chip to get him.
  13. I am really nervous waiting to see for who. I really like Marcum.
  14. I can shoot him a text and see what he says. I doubt he says anything worth posting however.
  15. There is probably a 5% chance we trade Braun. However, just even seeing a rotation of Gallardo-Lester-Grinke. Makes me feel all tingly inside http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. The 2010 Mariners don't have one of Weeks or Hart. Offense wise. They probably wouldn't have a guy that would match what Gamel would put up.
  17. And Matt Holliday and Ryan Braun both play left field.
  18. Werth probably deserved it over Braun, but I am not complaining. Congrats to both!
  19. I actually coached with Washburn during the summer. I helped coach his kid (3rd and 4th graders) He was lobbing pitches to them giving them sort of batting practice and fielding practice and his son was getting full of himself. So Jarrod threw him a little baby curve ball. That thing would of probably struck me out. It was pretty funny. Sorry to get off topic.
  20. What station was that? Jw.
  21. I have no doubt he actually said this. KG has always been a huge smack talker and is a punk. Was back in Minnesota as well, they just covered him up really well.
  22. This. Agreed 100 percent. I know its hard to judge a guy just from watching a press conference but I really liked what I heard from him.
