  1. I will still never get how Vin Scully knows everything about everyone. I'm loving every minute of it.
  2. I can't even describe how far Fielder hit that thing.
  3. That sucks to go from an almost homer to a hard hit double play.
  4. These are the days where I'm glad I'm living in Chicago. I get to listen to Vin Scully on MLB.TV.
  5. I don't know about that, I'd say the .414 OPS with RISP is the big problem, he doesn't have a history of not hitting well with RISP so its just a fluke but its been really killing his RBI this year. Well of course, but let's say he puts up around a .730 OPS with RISP, so around his average output. Still wouldn't be close to the .900 OPS clip Jenkins is putting up and has put up this year and even last year.
  6. I think the lineup is laughable but hey, I've said all that I have to say on the subject, so that leaves me with.... It's tough to resist Russ, I give you credit.
  7. I actually like Estrada in the 5 spot. He doesn't strike out much and there's usually guys on base when he gets up. If Jenkins comes up with runners on in the 5th spot he is more likely to leave them there. What's the difference between a strikeout and a weak grounder to 2nd on the first pitch in that situation? I say none. There's a reason Estrada doesn't have many RBIs even though he HAS had a lot of people on base for him, it's because he simply isn't nearly as good as Jenkins. EDIT: I guess I just don't see why everyone thinks striking out with runners on base is the worst thing in the world and that's why Estrada should hit 5th. The bottom line is Estrada makes more outs than Jenkins, so Jenkins is more likely to drive those runners in, it's as simple as that. An out is an out with runners on base and 2 outs, be it a strikeout or a flyout to right.
  8. Of course, he keeps Estrada in the 5 hole... but whatever, we'll see how dropping Hall to 7th works out.
  9. Give me Ennder's lineup, with either Gwynn or preferably Gross hitting 2nd.
  10. Putting Estrada second would make him take a pitch or two. No it won't. Just because he's hitting 2nd doesn't mean Estrada will change his entire approach. He should be hitting 7th in this lineup, with Counsellino hitting 8th. You want your 2 hitter to work the count. Just because he makes a lot of contact and would be "good" for a hit and run (a completely overrated aspect of 2 hitters), he would hurt the team at the position. If you want someone to make contact out of the 2 hole, you already have him in Hardy. I believe he has the fewest swing and miss rate on the team, even ahead of Estrada.
  11. Thanks jloos, yeah I got Jenkins and Mench's BB, SF, and HBP mixed up. After switching their stats, it came out as it should have been. Just didn't want to give Mench too much credit for having only one walk this season http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  12. And also, Mench's stats are wrong. There's no way he has a .316 OBP, I think it's down to .265 or something.
  13. Something that I think is wrong are Jenkins' stats. You have him at a .310 BA and a .319 OBP. I checked the stats in two places, and his OBP is up over .350. EDIT: Yup, here's his player card. sports.espn.go.com/mlb/pl...=5948sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=5948
  14. Yeah, how dare they look at the actual results..... This argument will continue for the eternity of brewerfan.net. People such as myself and Ennder want to predict his future performance based on what he has been doing. With a WHIP close to 1.60, there's no way he's going to continue to have an ERA around 3.00, but rather it'll end up around 5.00. Expect more performances like these than a performance where he throws 5 innings, has 5 walks, gives up 5 hits and 0 runs. That just won't happen again.
  15. Gotta love how Turnbow can't throw a strike against Chris freakin' Heintz.
  16. Great baserunning by Prince there.
  17. Congrats on #200 Jenks! And then Miller with an infield hit??
  18. He's not an every day player. You've got to be kidding me. He hit 35 homers last year with an OPS of nearly .900!
  19. Dear Bill Hall, The home run there was great, but couldn't you start hitting those when the game is close and runners are on base? Much love, jloos
  20. Dear Scott Baker, You're welcome. Sincerely, The Brewers crappy lineup
  21. Dear James Jerry, You are good at baseball. Love, Everyone
  22. Dear Bushy, Great first inning and keep it up. We love good Dave Bush. Best, Brewers fans
  23. Dear JET15, I know your lineups are pretty and I appreciate it, but couldn't you post the lineups in the form of a letter/note? Much appreciated, jloos
  24. Dear Yost, Please start Gabe Gross in right field again because it's looking like he's starting to see the ball a lot better. Accordingly, do not let Kevin Mench see the field tonight. Thanks! Love, jloos
