    Ok, here's what happened. Reyes looked to 3rd and then turned to 1st and saw Hart running. He threw it to Eckstein at 2nd where Hart was gonna be out. Hart "avoided" the tag (he didn't really) and Eckstein assumed he was out. Hall then ran home and scored very intelligently, and Hart got onto 2nd base.

    Hart was definitely tagged there. The look to 3rd and then 1st actually worked there too, but we got away with it. I'm not complaining.

    No, the Cubs game would not be official, because the Pirates were up to bat in the 7th. The 7th would have had to been completed for the game to be official, otherwise the Cubs got one more at bat.

    2 runs through 5 for Sheets. But since we're not winning, he's just not a winner.

    Jenkins is out of his head right now. I think this might be one of the most prolonged stints of consistent excellence of his career. There's definitely no one else on the team I would rather have up than Geoff Jenkins.

    Once again, Rolen smacks a 2 strike pitch.

    Sheets just doesn't have the strikeout pitch going. That's another 2 strike hit by Pujols. He has been getting hit hard with 2 strikes all year, which is worrying me a bit.

    That was pretty bad luck, Sheets hit that pretty well.

    Sheets threw 2 strikes in that at bat that weren't called strikes.

    That's great news to see Weeks back in the lineup. I'm still wondering why Mench keeps starting in RF over Gross and Hart, who both hit righties better than Mench does. Ah well, Mench has been hitting well enough so I can't complain too much.
