  1. When you take an unconventional approach you expect to get criticized when it doesn't work. Counsell's approach is working...repeatedly and unequivocally. But these guys are wired so strongly toward 'the way things are' that it just isn't clicking. Joe Buck gets it (you could say he's "woke" haha) and facilitated a nice strategy discussion about which arms Counsell should use and when and the pros/cons of each move. I found it fascinating. It added an entire new element to a playoff series that wasn't there before. Somebody should be talking about how a team as talented as the Dodgers has been underperforming for the better part of 7 months.
  2. 6 straight divisional titles will do that. Same thing happened in Atlanta in the early 2000s. They often had 10,000-15,000 empty seats in the divisional round.
  3. I'm not showing any available. Maybe they all got bought up in minutes? I'm not planning to buy, just generally curious on whats available. I've been refreshing occasionally and suddenly about 10 price ranges showed up. I pulled 3 terrace reserved immediately followed by 3 terrace box. Didn't try anything else. Decided to buy the terrace box. I see nothing now also...keep checking. A few days ago I found 2 field outfield for game 6 but I wanted 3 together and figured there would be more. Now I need to get some game 7s also just in case.
  4. I agree, if down 3-2 I think people will wait for game 7. But the series certainly isn't trending that way right now and if it's a potential clincher it will not be a cheap ticket.
  5. Huge ticket drop for game 6. Just snagged 3 terrace box next to each other--416 row 2. Just gotta get the flight now.
  6. The last 2 minutes was the first NFL I've watched this season. Vintage Rodgers. Great night in Wisconsin.
  7. Confirmed by Counsell. Awesome that we can go back to that combo after only 3 days rest.
  8. This is the closest we've been to the pennant in my lifetime.
  9. It's so obvious now...everyone could see Buehler slowly losing effectiveness...it was simply a matter of time.
  10. I think the #1 problem for the fans is the lack of interesting games. Each team plays maybe 2-3 interesting games per year, the rest are mismatches. There is zero motivation to play meaningful non-conference games and the ones that are played are at neutral sites. With bowl games, the problem is that formerly top-tier bowl games are now a consolation prize for missing the playoff and they have lost their luster. So maybe those games do need to become a play-in for the final playoff spot or something. The other part of me is kind of like...well the student athletes would not benefit at all from a more complicated playoff system and considering how much money college football is making right now, there's really no reason for them to do anything.
  11. The fun thing about the CFP is that every week can be an elimination game. The bad thing about the CFP is that the Badgers were [essentially] eliminated in week 3.
  12. Meh, at the end of the day the series is 1-1 which is a fine enough position to be in. Both games could have gone either way, could be up 2-0 or down 0-2. They can win on the road.
  13. Working on his stuff so he can hit bombs and strike fools out in October. Just in time for the 'rebuilding' to be over.
