Does such a thing as clutch hitting even exist? It's really about which guys can best handle the hard-throwing relievers that teams go to in close situations these days and the right matchup happening to coincide with the situation. I highly doubt the actual circumstances of the game are affecting these guys much.

There have been some interesting studies (summarized in a Freakonomics podcast) about how many hybrid owners want their car to be distinguishable from other cars. I find that to be annoying, but that's the way it is.

You really gotta stop acting like Davies is a terrible pitcher. I know you hate him but his entire body of work says otherwise. Getting awfully silly. What Zack Davies have you been watching this year? Why would we make any judgment on Davies from 8 starts? Look at the 61 starts prior to that.

Give Guerra his 100 pitches and then let position players be the bullpen. No need to waste resources on this one.

Another Prius owner here! Haters gonna hate but can't beat 50 mpg. Plus the hatchback design equals lots of storage space for a small car. I use mine for all the outdoor activities that supposedly require an SUV. Skis and bike fit easily.

It looks really nice from pictures. Reminds me of T-Mobile arena in Vegas except with a more interesting exterior.

Agreed with the no extension folks--in general the risk of contract extensions (to buy out FA years) is too high and I would be fine if we never do it again, across the board. -
That was an incredible win, game 1 non televised, of a double header. I only remember finding out when I came home from school and saw the highlights on ESPN. I doubt you'll see a bigger 9th inning comeback ever. I remember that one! Weren't there about 500 people at that game since it was a makeup doubleheader?
