  1. Yikes, it's just starting to set in that the season is over next week. Hopefully they can keep things interesting for a few more days. Going to be tough against Cueto.
  2. All along we knew that we needed the Cardinals to collapse or at least play mediocre to have a chance. They were bad for awhile but there is no reason to think they won't take at least 2/3 from the Astros this week, which would again force a Brewers sweep to have any chance. I'm not saying it can't be done, the 2007 Rockies made up 3 games in the final 3 days of the season. And crazier things have happened than the Astros sweeping the Cardinals this week. You just never know. But it might be best to ignore the numbers for a few days because they aren't pretty.
  3. Just saw the 2012 Milwaukee Brewers season flash before my eyes.
  4. Another mistake by Harper. Possibly distracted by seeing the pitcher nearly decapitated?
  5. Will Ramirez win the silver slugger over Wright? They have very similar numbers.
  6. Still missing the big hit to get a convincing lead.
  7. Ramirez' 48th double was about a foot from being over the top of the wall. It was hit so hard that it almost went through the wall.
  8. The contact play is so moronic...although at least in this situation it only moves a runner from 2nd to 1st.
  9. First career double for Logan Schafer is a huge one!
  10. I agree with turborickey--but the main reason it is close to a "must win" is the pitching matchup.
  11. That's enough sports for the day I think. Will check back later to see if they can chip away at the lead.
  12. Ouch, there's a rookie mistake. Had no chance to get an out.
  13. Segura hesitated, otherwise he would have stolen the base easily.
  14. Awesome. Playoff odds up to 21.9%, highest since April 30. A win tonight could bump it up over 25%.
  15. I gave up on the Cubs game after the 8th. I can't believe they tied it. To the bottom 10th, win it Cubbies!!!!
