I'm thinking that was the biggest hit of Yuniesky Betancourt's career. I can't imagine he has ever played in bigger games than these.

I know it doesn't really matter, but I really want them to take the division. There are still 2 months to go but I already am tempted to get the magic number clock going. Also, the San Francisco Giants are suddenly only 1 1/2 games ahead. Winning the division and finishing with a better record than the Giants means home field advantage in the NLDS.

Even winning 82 games and ending that streak of futility would be a boost to the Pirates franchise. But that is unlikely to happen, even with the new acquisitions.
