Nice to see the Brewers expand their broadcast base . Does anyone know how big the Hispanic population is in Milwaukee? Brewers games on ESPN Deportes By Don Walker Tuesday, Jul 22 2008, 10:35 AM Beginning this Sunday, select Milwaukee Brewers games will be broadcast in Spanish on ESPN Deportes WRRD-AM (Radio 1510), the team has announced. "The Brewers Hispanic fan base is very strong and growing, and we're excited to bring Brewers baseball to this audience through Spanish language broadcasts," said Rick Schlesinger, the team's executive vice president for business operations. ESPN Deportes will broadcast every remaining Brewers home afternoon game, beginning with Sunday's game against the Houston Astros. The game begins at 1:05 p.m. In the 2009 season, all home day games will be broadcast on the station. "The Brewers were the obvious choice for our first local play-by-play partnership due to our listeners' interest, the team's commitment to the Hispanic community, and the Brewers commitment to wining," said ESPN Deportes owner Craig Karmazin. A play-by-play announcer has not yet been announced. (added link to title to cover Brewerfan's copyright butts --1992)

Take a look at what Ned Yost has to say about Rickie Weeks . . . http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/archive/2008/07/20/yost-defends-weeks.aspx After reading Ned's latest comments about Rickie Weeks, I continue to be amazed at how ridiculous Ned always sounds. It's a good thing Ned Yost is not the President of the United States. He would probably defend the economy and gas prices by insisting that everything is fine and the American public knows nothing. Seriously, the Brewers should now make another trade and acquire some masking tape to shut Ned Yost's mouth. The more he talks, the more ridiculous he always sounds. Weeks has been terrible this year and is playing nowhere near the expectations of a number two draft pick. Everyone knows it and there is no point in Ned trying to sugar coat everything and insult our intelligence. They should just cancel his press conferences because it's just a waste of time.

A sweep on the road. FINALLY !!!!!!

I think the National League is an awesome fit for him. He can obviously hit, and he also gets to pitch against much easier lineups. He's gotta be thrilled. I am going to cry when he leaves this winter though.

Coco Cordero was really awful tonight. The Brewers just aren't getting any help right now.

This is great for the Brewers. I really think having more HD exposure will boost ratings. Let's hope this translates into more TV revenue in the future.

I think the AL should try a squeeze play just for some excitement. EDIT: Never mind, there are two outs already. Silly me.

I am actually 34, but your thought process is on the right track. In my 27 years of following baseball, I have NEVER seen a Brewer do anything special in an all-star game. CORRECTION: 26 years of following baseball, not 27. My bad.
