    THIS GARBAGE IS UNACCEPTABLE. Nobody on this team ever tries to bunt and disrupt the pitcher's rhythym Nobody shortens up and pokes the ball the other way They keep swinging at balls way out of the strike zone while taking pitches right down the middle Our catcher can't make a decent throw to nail a runner We can't turn routine double plays Our pitchers nibble and get behind in the counts We still don't draw walks We swing for the fences all the time Our GM doesn't value tough outs and on-base percentage. Our manager always coddles our players and there is no accountability Our brain dead manager leaves in a situational lefty to face five straight right-handed hitters Our brain dead manager tries to hit and run with a pitcher at the plate. Bill Hall keeps getting starts against dominant righties. Corey Hart looks terribly slow in the field and is a mess at the plate. THIS GARBAGE IS UNACCEPTABLE. People are paying record prices for these tickets and are coming out in record numbers. It disgusts me that when the national spotlight is on us and we have a chance to do something really special, this team rolls over and looks awful in every aspect. WHO IS IN CHARGE HERE? WHERE IS THE ACCOUNTABILTY? WHERE ARE THE FUNDAMENTALS?

    I just want to scream right now. What a STUPID way to lose a game. Walks, dumb errors, and swinging at balls in the dirt.

    Most people I know are following both the Brewers and the Favre story. This isn't really an either / or situation where you can only pick one and not the other, so I disagree with the premise of this thread. As far as a poll goes, if it is not scientific it means nothing. You need random samples to make it more legitimate. Most of the baseball fans I know prefer WSSP anyway, and so there is an inherent bias in sampling.

    It feels different to me this season because of the wild card race. Last year, it didn't feel like we had a shot at the wild card and beating the Cubs was our only hope. This year, I definitely want to beat the Cubs and win the division. However, the wild card chances look good too just in case the Cubs end up pulling this one out.

    On some of the Cardinals fan forums, they are referring to the Brewers as "classless punks" and some of them now would rather see the Cubs beat us. Now I realize they are upset about the devastating losses and are emotional right now, but Cardinals fans are generally thought of as knowledgable and classy. I think Ned needs to talk to his players and the boys need to show a little bit more etiquette. (But it's a good problem to have, right?)

    I have to give credit to Solomon Torres. I really thought he would have nothing tonight. Ned proved me wrong . . . and that NEVER happens.

    Hart looks like he is swinging for the fences now. He should have slapped it the other way. It's so clear the Cardinals are working the corners and the Brewers are just not making adjustments.
