  1. My thoughts exactly. With nobody out, there was no reason to send Bill Hall home. Everyone in the ballpark could see that Hall was going to be out by a mile. I am glad Hall did not slide. Remember what happened to J.J. Hardy last season? Luckily that run meant nothing in the end. But an injury would have been costly. I also find myself feeling nervous when a ball is hit to Bill Hall. Just like with Rickie Weeks, it's going to take some time. Great post. . . I agreed with everything you said.
  2. Hi, thanks for asking. I haven't been able to make any of the practices so far and unfortunately I won't be able to make it on the 21st either. I am planning to attend the practice on the 28th. By the way, can we perhaps get an e-mail list going? I am not in the habit of checking this forum and would prefer to get any major announcements through my e-mail. Is this possible Jamie?
  3. I just dread facing the Pirates. Some of their young pitching is starting to step up. They had a winning record in the second half of last season, and they are playing with lots of confidence right now. I am really curious to see if the Brewers will play well in this series. Will it be the same old stuff or is this truly a new year? The hitters need to think "opposite field" if they want to have success against a guy like Paul Maholm.
  4. I missed the last three innings and so I didn't have to personally suffer through the torture when all hell broke loose. I guess I will say that a 4-3 road trip is nice and that the bullpen has been pretty good this season. So I am not going to freak out over one meltdown. It was bound to happen eventually. Maybe if I had actually watched those last innings, I might be more angry right now. But right now I am cool with things.
  5. Nice to clinch a winning road trip. It definitely builds confidence and sends a positive message to the fans as well. I am really happy for Bill Hall and Corey Hart for their clutch hits. Nice to bust out with some runs. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/AJAY_02/BrewersFlag3.gif
  6. That's funny. I was just thinking the same thing. Do we really need a "long man" ?
  7. Was there any doubt that Dessens was going to give up some runs? I'll bet he gets released by the all-star break.
  8. It's so beautiful seeing Chad Moeller in a uniform that doesn't say "Brewers" on it. That's how it should be.
  9. Slump? What slump? GRAND SLAM BILLY HALL !!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. I think Hart needs to practice finding the homerun wall a little better. He seems to think he is closer to the wall than he actually is. It's happened a couple of times already.
  11. I hope we win tonight, but those shootings at Virginia Tech really put baseball in perspective. I don't think I will be cheering or booing a whole lot today. Hopefully the Reds will hold a moment of silence.
  12. I am trying to be a more mature fan this season, but today I can't help myself. I really need to vent. How do you lose 10-2 when the pitching matchup is Ben Sheets vs. Braden Bleepin' Looper? We should have destroyed those bums. Looper is a mediocre journeyman reliever and we should have pounded him. What's the matter here? These are the type of games where you can make a statement and set yourself apart as a real playoff team. To play like garbage is just so upsetting. I am very disappointed today.
  13. BOOOOOOOOOOO !!!! This has got to be a learning experience for the new first base coach. He has got to remind the runners that Molina loves to throw to first. Mistakes are killing us today.
  14. It seems like this whole road trip, the Brewers keep getting robbed by outfielders who are making these last-second leaping catches. Some of these balls have got to start falling in more. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/AJAY_02/JackieRobinsonLogo.jpg
  15. Don't you just love that approach by Estrada? Beautiful http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/AJAY_02/JackieRobinsonLogo.jpg
  16. This is definitely one of those games where you want your ace to step up and dominate. You have a chance to take both games against the former champions and a division rival in their own park. I want to win badly today and start building some momentum. The message should be that we can beat the best and we can win on the road. Let's do it. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/AJAY_02/JackieRobinsonLogo.jpg
  17. Weeks must have hit it really hard because Uecker did not even have a chance to say "Get Up, Get Outta Here, Gone".
  18. Are you saying the game will not be blacked out on Extra Innings? I also have Time Warner and might be able to take advantage of the free preview period. By the way, is anyone in Wisconsin still interested in the Bucks? I am obviously biased, but FSN should bump them off the air and show the Brew Crew.
  19. What an interesting turn of events. I have to admit that I just assumed the Brewers would lose both games today. Last night was so frustrating and I really though we were not meant to win. And then to dominate this game felt really good, especially in Florida where we normally struggle. Now let's kick some Cardinal butt. It's time. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/AJAY_02/BrewersWin5.gif
  20. Gotta love that extra run !!
  21. That's probably more than the Bucks and Marlins will have tonight. Nice turnout considering the snowstorm too.
  22. More than the homerun, I am glad that Weeks is starting to recognize pitches better and is starting to layoff the breaking balls in the dirt. He seems to be walking more lately.
  23. I think Bill Schroeder said it best . . . Boy oh boy. My goodness.
  24. PrimeHater, please see the message I sent to your inbox.
  25. Suppan needs to get some outs now. His team just got him back in the game.
