  1. I think I am going to pee in my pants right now intsead of waiting for October. Goodnight everyone. Nothing else to say.
  2. Prince is playing like an MVP, Corey Hart is heating up, and Ryan Braun is heating up too. But still it's not translating into more victories. Aren't we do for some good fortune now? It's been too long.
  3. Good Morning. Good Afternoon Good Night. See ya Soriano !!
  4. If they lose tonight, I am not going to blame the bullpen.
  5. Braun has been so anti-clutch so far. In fact, the whole team has trouble blowing the game wide open. They need to think "up the middle" again.
  6. Double play again? They pulled this nonsense yesterday too. *sigh* Why can't we ever bust it wide open?
  7. I know it's early, but . . . BOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!
  8. *sigh* It feels like the score should be 8-0 already.
  9. Don't we normally struggle against Byung Hyung Kim?
  10. Nice to see some other guys step up for a change. It's about time someone other than Prince or J.J. had a big game. Corey Hart continues to impress. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/AJAY_02/BrewersFlag3.gif
  11. I give up. What does "Winner Winner Chicken Dinner" mean? I hear Steve the Homer True say it on the radio all the time and it drives me nuts (partially because I don't understand it, and partially because it sounds so dumb and annoying and they repeat it all the time). Someone also used that phrase in the game thread too. I searched online and all I saw was a gambling reference. But it wasn't really clear. Can someone explain?
  12. I was at the game today and had lots of thoughts . . . 1) Turnbow has done a good job this season and he's human. I am not going to pin this loss entirely on him. Having said that, there should be a "two walks and you are out" rule for someone like Turnbow. When he doesn't have command, he seems more vulnerable than our other pitchers for some reason. Bad things seem to happen. 2) I think Ned is getting a little quicker at recognizing when Turnbow is in trouble. He yanked Turnbow with the bases loaded. I see it as a small sign of progress although he's still gotta sense trouble a little sooner. To me, the red flag is when the Turnbow is really missing high with his pitches. That should be an early warning sign. Sometimes you walk people, but other times you seem really wild when you walk people. Ned's gotta consider that. 3) Why don't managers ever bring in their dominant closer when the game is on the line? I would have brought in Cordero after the two walks by Turnbow. Take your chances with someone else in the 9th inning. You gotta know when the game is on the line. 3) Shouse and Spurling didn't get the job done. It happens once in a while. Every bullpen has some rough outings over the course of the season. 4) The offense was disappointing again. I know Tim Hudson had an era of 2.38, but our runs came on a ground out and wild pitch. Nothing much going overall other than a Fielder solo shot. It was another struggle. The offense really needs to start putting up some runs to take the load off the pitching. We need bigger leads and earlier leads. 5) Very encouraging to see Dave Bush have a strong start. He needed that. I hope he can build on it and step up to help this team. 6) Nice to see Corey Hart get another start. Ned should just leave him alone and let him get hot. I know he will be fine out there. Lots of kids and elderly people were at the game and the crowd was relatively quiet compared to normal. We didn't get much of a home-field feeling.
  13. Hitting up the middle and to the opposite field. . . . and the Brewers win. Imagine that. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/AJAY_02/Uecker.gif
  14. I am tempted to start a website called "Pee in your pants for a clutch base hit".
  15. The Braves' website is saying this game will be broadcasted on TBS. Does anyone know if this will be blacked out in Milwaukee? Anyway, can we please win today? The Braves are scuffling a little too. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/AJAY_02/USA-07-june.gif
  16. God Bless the Chicago Cubs. They always find the most creative and ridiculous ways to lose games. Another classic Cub-like ending today. At least when the Brewers lose, it's more conventional and less agonizing.
  17. I don't even have the energy to vent. This team has sapped it all out of me.
  18. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b273/AJAY_02/BagHead.jpg
  19. I am trying to remind myself that the Dodgers lost 12 in a row last year and still went to the playoffs. I am also trying to remind myself that St. Louis twice lost 8 in a row last year. So far, it's not helping though.
  20. Suppan is on pace to walk 100 batters today. *sigh*
  21. What happened to Woogie? Doesn't he usually start these game threads? Anyway, I sure hope we win today. I am starting to get a little grouchy. We need to find a way to steal a win against Jake Peavy.
  22. CNNSI talks about Francisco "Coco" Cordero . . . sportsillustrated.cnn.com...index.html
  23. I saw most of the game on DVR just now. I do see signs of improvement although the final result continues to be disappointing. Weeks seems to be hitting the ball well lately and that is encouraging. It was also cool to see two RBI and an extra base hit out of the third base spot. Braun does have an awfully funny looking swing though. Whatever works I guess. I do think the starting pitching needs to show more. They have been in a funk lately. Time to step it up. It's just too bad this team is playing like crap against some of the better teams in the NL. I really pray we can pull off a miracle and win the next two. This team needs to show something now.
  24. I remember my first trip to Fenway. I was really shocked at how small everything looked. I was also shocked at how short the distance to left field was and how long the distance to rightfield seemed. It almost looks more like a football field if you are seated along the third base side. I loved the ambience and the bars and shops surrounding Fenway Park. Plus all the quirks of the ballpark itself make it interesting. This might be somewhat off-topic, but since you mentioned it . .. I have been to Lambeau Field a few times and I never really understood the hype. Sure the new concourses and amenities are really nice, but the seating bowl is just a big oval without anything inside or outside that makes it interesting. There is no scenic view, skyline, or bar scene surrounding the facility. Even the tailgaiting scene is small because of the limited parking. I personally think the atmosphere at Camp Randall stadium is so much better. You have fraternity houses, the band, everyone wearing red, etc.
