I love how Weeks just relaxed and took his time on that double play.

I have enjoyed Schroeder's analysis tonight. He seems to be making good comments.

Instead of giving batting helmets to the people in the picnic area, they might want to give them to the fans near the Brewers dugout. Weeks is going to be making a lot of scary throws this season. Can someone say "Alfonso Soriano" ?
  4. AJAY
Okay, Santos muffed the grounder. Let's hope he gets distracted and falls apart as usual.

Was that BrewerJamie sitting in the buckethead section? I think they just showed him on TV.

Wishing everyone a Happy Opening Day. It's the best day of the year. PLAY BALL !!!!!! http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/mlb/images/events/opening_day/y2006/hdr_300.gif

I think they should pull all the starters out of the game and avoid any risk of injury. Let the minor league kids finish this one.

    Battle Royal ?
  9. AJAY
Yeah, and then Chad Moeller comes to the plate and kills the whole inning by striking out again. I still don't know why he is even on this team anymore. I can't stand him. Leave him in Arizona.

Uecker made it sound like Weeks hit a tape-measure shot. Nice. EDIT: Uecker is now saying about 450 - 460 feet.

Now we have "Bo Hall" on the mound. I personally liked that Winklesass guy better. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Okay, I am ready for the season to start now. No offense to the Gerrit Simpsons of the world, but I have had enough of these unknown players that even us hardcore fans have never heard of. Spring training is just way too long. Time to start the season folks.

Who is this pitcher who just gave up the dinger?

I am also getting the WTMJ feed on MLB.com, but the quality is not very clear.

This game is on either AM 1250 or AM 1290 in Milwaukee. I can't tell exactly.

Jeff Cirillo had a two-run blast. Hey, I was happy to see Capellan throw some sharp curves tonight. He really needs something to go with his fastball.

Ray King and Prince Fielder in the same game. That's a lot of royalty.

It looks like they are having some pregame show on FSN.

Jorge De La Rosa actually pitched better than what the line score shows. Two of the hits were slow ground balls that found a hole up the middle. I was personally pleased with what I saw. He was around the strike zone for the most part.

Why are these Texas announcers more focused on talking about air conditioning and energy efficiency? This is a baseball game.
  21. AJAY
Why is Carlos Lee swinging at the first pitch after the pitcher has already given up two walks? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

Wow, I just noticed the Brewers are winning 14-3. If the Diamondbacks get a touchdown and go for a two-point conversion, they are only a field goal away from tying the game. I think the Brewers need to score some more. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

It looks like Ned is starting to stretch out the pitchers a little bit more. Dave Bush is still going.
  24. AJAY
Alright Vinny Rottino !! Brewers win !!

Nice to see Turnbow and Kolb regain some of their form today.
