The 2nd baseman Neifi Perez dropped the throw to the cutoff man and then threw the ball away trying to get a runner out at home. CUBS LOSE !!!!!

    Brian and I were at the field around 6:30. We had gotten word that the games were cacelled. There were a few raindrops, but nowhere near as much rain as to cancel a game. We played catch for about 20 minutes and then left. My whole drive home was clear and now it is actually sunny and clear outside. Why were the games cancelled? BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!

    Thank god it's over. I still think Winklesas was a poor choice considering the situation.

    I hate to put Winklesas into a situation where there are runners in base. I would rather have him start fresh. He is likely to have some nerves out there.

    I thought Eveland pitched pretty well tonight. He kept us in the game for the most part. Let's hope Winklesas doesn't cough it up now.

    I wish I could have been there but I was headed out of town and was only able to catch about 6 innings until I lost the WTMJ signal near Toledo, Ohio. Anyway, when ESPN radio had a breaking news update during the Baseball Show saying that Bill Hall hit a walkoff game winning HR to beat the Mets, everyone in my car was screaming and high-fiving each other.     This was one of the most schizophrenic games I have ever attended. I don't know whether to be thrilled and proud of the comeback and the never-say-die sprit . . or be alarmed by the strikeouts with RISP and the horrible replacements for our injured arms. It was aweome and it was ugly. I am incredibly excited and yet terribly concerned too. It was just weird because all the strengths and weaknesses were on display.
