    Greg Maddux just got knocked around by the Padres and the Cubs trail 7-1 now. It's gotten so bad that Glendon Rusch is replacing Maddux. By the way, I am guessing that Mike Maddux must be at the game to watch his brother pitch. Hopefully he is doing a little scouting on the Padres as well.

    I still can't sleep right now. This loss was such a bummer. It's going to keep me awake all night. The difference between 4 games above. 500 and 2 games above .500 feels so huge. I am just dying to see this team take off and really get hot. I know good teams win by taking 3 out of 5 but I really want to sweep everyone and climb up the ladder much faster. I tell ya, it is so hard to keep a level head and maintain perspective.

    It's still bugging me that Jenkins swung at the first pitch when he had a chance to drive in the leading run in the 9th. The failure to score with runners on 2nd and 3rd and only one out will probably keep me awake all night tonight. *sigh*

    I can't help but think that Hall's baserunning error might end up hurting us in the long run. We could have had bases loaded with only one out.

    I will be attending this game at Wrigley Field thanks to a radio contest during the Peter Brown show on AM 1250 WSSP. I was the lucky caller who correctly answered the question "When was the last time the Brewers swept the Cubs?". I ended up winning two tickets. I really hope we win. GO BREWERS !!!!!!

    I had a great time at the game with BrewerJamie, his father-in-law, and Brian the Automator. It was nice to beat someone of the caliber of Tim Hudson. Tomo Obermueller pitched a great game. I was most excited about the Brewers stringing together base hits to score runs. It has been a while since we have seen that from this team. I hope the Brewers score runs for Sheets tomorrow and finish the job. Let's sweep those Braves and get hot before we head to Wrigley.
