    Man, all these walks just aren't turning into enough runs for some reason. Still a very close game.

    If Hall is being punished, then I credit Ned for showing some leadership. I was personaly not impressed with what Hall did and it looked really bad considering everything else going on with the team lately. Time to bring back some focus and professionalism.

    Although I am not sure how Cirillo will do at shortstop, I do like the idea of giving Bill Hall a day off. He might be wearing down a little.

    I was there tonight and it was so disappointing to lose in front of such a huge crowd when you badly needed a win. Just a total heartbreaker. I also saw a lot of stupid disturbing things on the field . . * Doug Davis had an awesome game, but that stupid walk to the pitcher really hurt us. You just can't do stuff like that. *Bunting seems to be a big problem still. So much for doing the little things better this season. * Bill Hall dropped a ball when the runner was supposed to be picked off. It was terrible. * I was unhappy with Ned's decision to have Weeks bunt in the 9th inning. Considering that Rickie never bunts, I didn't want to see him try it and mess it up. Of course, he did mess it up. * I don't know what Doug Davis' pitch count was, but I was really hoping he would go the distance. I didn't have a good feeling about Turnbow knowing that Davis was cruising along without major problems. * Jenkins just flat out stinks. You need someone who can make contact in the three spot. I am now getting so sick of his inconsistency and tendency to swing for the fences when you just need a single. I just want to see Corey Hart play now. * It was horrible to see Koskie get caught stealing with Prince at the plate. * I know Prince needed a day off, but I would have rather seen Jenkins sit tonight.

    I just got back from the game. Let me first say that there was absoluletly NO buzz in the stands. The fans were out of it from the beginning. It was very disturbing. People already seemed like they have given up on this team and are just there to hang out. * The leadoff walk to Royce Clayton absolutely made me furious. Everything went down hill from there. I knew that was the beginning of the end when Clayton walked. * Bill Hall's swing seems to be getting longer again. He seems like he could use a day off. Playing everyday might be taking its toll even though he hit a triple. * Carlos Lee looked terrible. He needs a couple days off too. * Corey Hart already seems better than Geoff Jenkins. I would rather see Hart play to inject some youth and life into the lineup. *Jenkins is not a number three hitter. They should move Clark up to the number two spot and put Fielder, Lee, and Hall as the 3, 4, and 5 hitters. Jenkins should move to the bottom. * Winkelsas actually seemed like he had the best stuff out there. I wonder if he can start? *Just a crappy game all around. No offense, no defense, no pitching. Terrible.
