  1. This is a stretch. He's thrown plenty of breaking balls. He's getting way too much plate with too many pitches.
  2. Then bring in Axford.
  3. I know it was mentioned, but not intentionally walking Ramirez to load the bases in the 8th was also a dumb move. Has RR had a half inning with more of his incompetence on display than that one?
  4. His decision making in that instance -- and in many other similar late inning situations this year -- is indefensible.
  5. Backupcatchers, a person doesn't need to be a huge stats guy to think some of RR's decisions are questionable at best. Why does Kotsay need to be anything more than a pitcher hitter? Is there any reason he should ever start in CF? Why is McGehee still hitting 5th? I believe RR has a lot of input when it comes to his bench, so why is Nieves on the roster instead of Kottaras? Why does Yuni need to play so much? Etc.
  6. How far was Gomez from the wall when he caught that? Two feet or so? It looked to me like he caught it and immediately braced for impact. I really don't think he embellished very much on that play.
  7. He brought it up before anyone even asked in his press conference and said it was missed signs.
  8. http://robynfabsits.com/pegleg1/robynfabsits.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/PlushYou1.jpg
  9. He doesn't have mental issues. He has a personality.
  10. His warning track power only carried it 20 yards short of the track.
  11. I'd be really surprised if Braun was being told to run with Fielder being told to swing or take the pitch.
  12. And it was Little League spring training, so it carries even more weight.
  13. We are entitled to point out when we think RR is making a mistake. That is all I see people on here doing. Your last post doesn't have anything to do with the discussion.
  14. I'd rather have Yost.
  15. The Stallworth case was much different. The guy he hit ran out into the middle of traffic on a busy six lane road early in the morning. Stallworth stopped immediately and called 911 and cooperated fully with the police. Gallo, who was on parole for a felony DUI, ran a red light and fled the scene. I even remember a quote from a family member of Reyes stating they felt bad for Stallworth as well since it was a very unfortunate accident. I'm not absolving Stallworth from all blame, but the situation was certainly different than what happened with Adenhart. I don't know if Gallo deserves to die in prison, but what he did was remarkably callous.
  16. We are cool, and that.
  17. He'd probably have a 4.00 ERA in AAA.
