will sammon reports that the 2022 option becomes mutual if garcía amasses 1050 plate appearances in 2020 and 2021. garcía had around 550 prorated plate appearances last season, so if he gets around 500 plate appearances this year, it turns into a mutual option. garcía certainly got a lot of playing time in with injuries to lorenzo cain and christian yelich, and with an underperforming jackie bradley, jr. he has 183 plate appearances in 53 team games played.

alec bettinger probably hadn't even left the d.c. metro area yet. good thing, because he was just recalled from his optional assignment.

angel perdomo has a lower back strain, and he has been placed on the 10-day injured list.

alec bettinger has been optioned to class aaa nashville.

bettinger did not need to meet the requisite stay of 10 days on optional assignment in order to be recalled as the 27th man. i do believe that he can stay on the roster beyond today, provided that another player is cut to pare the roster back down to 26.

if zach green has his contract selected, he does have two minor league options remaining. current slash line: .281 / .319 / .672 yeah, he's struck out 37.7% of the time, but he's also homered every 9.14 at bats.

daniel robertson might be headed to the injured list with a left calf injury. the club will evaluate tomorrow.
  18. djoctagone
josh lindblom has cleared outright waivers and accepted a minor league assignment with class aaa nashville.
  19. djoctagone
the answer is yes. the brewers will be able to add any player as their 27th man tomorrow, provided he's on the 40-man roster.
  20. djoctagone
tim lopes' rehab assignment (started 11 may) will have to end in the coming days if he continues to prove himself healthy. the club will have to activate him from the 60-day injured list (a 40-man spot is available), and then either option him, recall him, or designate him for assignment.
  21. djoctagone
josh lindblom has been designated for assignment. the club has seven days to trade, release or try to outright him to the minors. if he clears outright waivers, he has the right to refuse the minor league assignment and become a free agent. the roster is at 37 players.
  22. djoctagone
jace peterson has cleared outright waivers. it appears that he has accepted the outright assignment with class aaa nashville.
  23. djoctagone
eric lauer will be recalled today to start against his former team.
  24. djoctagone
tyrone taylor has been optioned to class aaa nashville.
  25. djoctagone
jake hager has been claimed off waivers from the new york mets and has been optioned to class aaa nashville. hager has all three minor league options intact, and has never been sent outright to the minor leagues. he will burn his first option after 20 days on optional assignment. the roster is at 38 players.
