brett anderson is expected to be activated tomorrow to start the final game of this 17-game roadtrip.
  2. djoctagone
adrian houser has the highest batting average of the starting nine right now.
  3. djoctagone
hiura will start his tenure with the nashville sounds on tuesday.
  4. djoctagone
    brent (suter), not brett.
  5. djoctagone
when a player is optioned, he usually has a couple days to report. it's a courtesy to the player. hiura deserves the time to get back to his residence in milwaukee and manage his belongings before joining the sounds wherever they may be. it typically means that the minor league club plays short-handed for a little bit . . . and that can be burdensome on them.
  6. djoctagone
i wish the issue was brewer's offense, but unfortunately, it's brewers' offense.
  7. djoctagone
brent suter is starting tomorrow, but alec bettinger is still on the 26-man roster.
  8. djoctagone
manny piña could return this weekend.
  9. djoctagone
there are more hurdles to clear to promote a player at class aa (or lower) straight to the major leagues this year. at present, all brewers players on optional assignment are currently with class aaa nashville, so promoting from that level will be less restrictive.
  10. djoctagone
don't expect brett anderson to pitch friday. that day's starting pitcher is still to be determined.
  11. djoctagone
good news in that there was an on-field test for robertson today.
  12. djoctagone
have you considered that all three are on the minor league injured list? because they all are.
  13. djoctagone
mark mathias had surgery yesterday. he is out for the season.
  14. djoctagone
zack brown and cooper hummel are on the minor league injured list, per will sammon.
  15. djoctagone
my gut is saying alec bettinger is staying through at least friday, and may be stashed on the roster to pitch again on friday. the brewers expect at least one more rehab appearance for josh lindblom, so bettinger isn't going to be optioned to activate him anytime soon.
  16. djoctagone
27 pitches tonight for lindblom in two scoreless innings. the brewers expect him to make at least one more rehab appearance.
  17. djoctagone
the brewers' tier 1 personnel have finally hit that 85% vaccination threshold. protocols can be relaxed for the team.
  18. djoctagone
minor league rehab start is official today with class aaa nashville. lindblom is starting tonight for nashville.
  19. djoctagone
minor league rehab start is official today with class aaa nashville. fisher is in the starting lineup in right field.
  20. djoctagone
minor league rehab start is official today with class aaa nashville. peterson is in the starting lineup in left field.
  21. djoctagone
minor league rehabilitation assignments have started! limit of 20 days for position players and 30 days for pitchers . . . so not a rule change from 2019.
  22. djoctagone
tyrone taylor has been recalled from class aaa nashville.
  23. djoctagone
yet, it was posted in the major league forum. the best way to ensure that none of these guys ever see a minute on the mlb roster is to post it in the minor league forum.
  24. djoctagone
    first base what you want
  25. djoctagone
topa and wahl both started on the 10-day on 1 april. you are listing the dates they were transferred to the 60-day injured list. both would be eligible to be activated 60 days after 1 april. and file technically wasn't moved to the 60-day injured list with his right elbow injury. he was recalled on 2 may and placed on the 60-day injured list.
