  2. kolten wong looks to go on a minor league rehab assignment by the end of this weekend.
  3. jandel gustave's minor league rehab assignment is done. expect him to be activated soon.
  4. chi chi gonzalez will start sunday's game.
  5. mark mathias has been optioned to class aaa nashville. this is mathias' second optional assignment since 2 may. he may be sent on three more optional assignments this year before having to be exposed to waivers.
  6. pedro severino has been sent to class aaa nashville on a rehab assignment.
  7. mike brosseau has been reinstated from the injured list.
  8. i'm still unclear how mlb teams determine close contact for unvaccinated players, as they apparently have eliminated the contact-tracing devices that they were required to wear, but it's five days on the covid-19 injured list if you're not vaccinated and come into close contact with someone who tests positive.
  9. good news from grand chute . . .
  10. the brewers are one of these five teams not paying a salary to their minor leaguers in extended spring training. this is shameful.
  11. bringing forward in case you missed last week that angel perdomo was transferred to the 60-day injured list by class aaa nashville. if a 40-man spot is needed, the brewers could opt to recall angel perdomo (not to report) and place him on the major league 60-day injured list. they did this with dylan file last season, even though it meant granting major league service time and pay.
  12. because i anticipated (and quite accurately, i might add) that there would be little to no discussion of the merits of the brewers' newest position player in a thread that mentions his name in the title, i brought forward a thread that had been created in the major league forum of brewerfan.net, but then later moved to the brewerfanatic.com forum devoted to minor league activity. as mentioned above, that thread (and others) remain in the minor league talk forum, and it's especially a disservice to that player with a major league contract.
