  1. Our live show begins in almost an hour (8 PM). We invite everyone to call in and talk about the Brewers.
  2. I always find it funny how fans want to Brewers to spend lots of money on players but then think it's OK to break the rules regarding tickets and such.
  3. Vgmastr[/url] has the best picture ever! You stole my idea and now I'm jealous! Great job!
  4. I went to UWM and got my degree after 7 1/2 years. I respectfully disagree with jaybird. Party it up and have as much fun as you can! You're always going to have to work the rest of your life, so enjoy your college years while they exist! An underage drinking ticket is not the worst thing in the world. I graduated with a 2.67 GPA and I got a great, professional, and respected job and I also completed my masters degree just now. I've never noticed GPA to mean that much. In fact, many friends and myself who are in various job sectors such as education, engineering, computer technology, and nursing have never been questioned about our GPAs. The paper (diploma) is all that matters, GPA means very little. I have a professional job and so do many of my friends in the fields I listed and we were never asked for GPAs, just proof of degrees. The people that I knew that were always studying and rarely doing things always seemed to be miserable. They never even benefited as far as better jobs as well. My sincere advice is party it up, do what you need to do to get by, and have fun. These days will be the best of your life.
  5. I've also have had nothing but positive experiences with the Milwaukee Brewer Ticket Office. They are very knowledgeable and a great group of people. I feel that they are truly the hidden gem in the whole Milwaukee Brewer organization!
  6. In honor of tonight's Cowboys/Giants football game, I must admit that my man crush for many years has been Ed Hochuli. Check out the following link on Ed and his incredible workout program! http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/players/01/10/nfl.workout0116/index.html A distant second and third place goes to Dave Wannstedt and Mike Carey (the man who reffed the packer game today as well).
  7. He wouldn't be eligible for the post season roster and I don't care. We need to get to the post season before we have a post season roster and I think Wickman would help our bullpen, which I feel is our weakest link.
  8. Why can't the Brewers make a move for Bob Wickman?! Maybe he's a headcase, but he can't be worse than Estrada. Wickman has to be better than Spurling, Aquino, McClung, and Wise (since he's gone nuts).
  9. Oh man, my fault. There were no outs in that situation when I looked. So the home team has bases loaded, NOBODY out, down by two, who's favored to win and by what percentage?
  10. I was looking at the MLB scoreboard on my phone tonight. They just installed a new feature saying what team is favored to win and by what percentage at that point of the ballgame. I looked when the Rockies were down by two with nobody out (at first I wrote one out, but there were nobody out) and the bases loaded. I understand a lot depends on who's pitching and hitting at the time, but generally speaking, who do you think is favored to win and by what percentage, the team that's up or the team that's batting with the bases loaded? I'll give the answer to this thread sometime Sunday night.
  11. Fifth Gear by Brad Paisley.
  12. So, if someone is a drug user it is fair to blame their boss, who might I add has already been cleared in federal court of drug distribution charges, of over ten years ago?! Again, I guess personal responsibility no longer exists in America.
  13. Yeah, a guy is found dead at his house, I wonder who we should blame? Oh, let's blame his former boss of over ten years ago. That makes sense.
  14. Gee, I wonder how the media and others are going to blame this one on Vince McMahon?
  15. I don't get how we're playing for a tie on the road when we're down by one and bunting to move TWO runners in scoring position with nobody out? Especially since the bunter (Weeks) hasn't hit a home run since April.
  16. I was screaming at the TV for Weeks to bunt. It didn't work out, but it's not like he's hitting very well at all this year in the majors and you got to figure that Corey Hart is very capable of getting one, if not both, runners in with runners on second and third with one out. If Hart couldn't do it, then I still feel good with Braun and two down with runners on second and third. If the bunt doesn't work, you still have to feel good with runners on first and second, with one out and Hart, Braun, and possibly Prince due up. I'm being honest with how I reacted and wanted at the time. I guarantee if Weeks swung away and struck out, hit into a double play, or got an out without advancing the runners, there would be at least twice as many posting here calling for Ned's head for not having him bunt. Hindsight is 20/20. Plus, aren't there tons of Brewers' fans (not me included) who constantly complain that we aren't playing small ball and that we rely on the home run too much?
  17. IslandsAC listed all of my beliefs perfectly, not to mention that Bill Hall is ready for an explosion as well.
  18. I went to grade school with one of his sons. Mr. Wolfe really was super religious and conservative. Very nice guy and it's interesting that he is now trying to lead an university all by himself.
  19. Congratulations to Barry Bonds for his amazing accomplishment. He is truly the greatest player of my time, if not all time. I enjoyed following his chase the past couple of weeks. I hope he hits 800.
  20. Canseco, by far, has shown he has the most credibility on this issue than anyone.
  21. Based off of my post on the great week I experienced in live music, I was wondering what are in your opinions the acts you can't miss when they come to town. Here is my list (in no particular order): Metallica John Fogerty Phil Vassar Keith Urban Ted Nugent George Thorogood Weird Al Yankovic (no, I'm not kidding) Bret Michaels/Poison George Strait John Mellencamp Dierks Bentley (added tag --1992)
  22. Last Sunday, I went and saw Kenny Chesney with some buddies at Country Thunder. The sound was pretty bad for a big concert setting, but Kenny always puts on a great show. Then on Tuesday I treated my old man to tenth row seats to see John Fogerty. This was third time I've seen Mr. Fogerty and he just gets better and better every time. Amazing energy, still has the powerful, distinctive all-American voice, and a hell of a guitar player! People of all ages were on their feet and dancing in the aisles. What an amazing live performer! Then last night a buddy and I saw Keith Urban at the Bradley Center. This was the sixth time I've seen Keith Urban and like Fogerty, I can't believe each show he does trumps his others, even when I think it isn't possible. I saw Roger Waters at Summerfest and was amazed by his screen and production, but Keith Urban's sure rivaled that. We were lucky to score some floor seats on EBAY from a broker in California for less than face value and when Keith and his band played on the catwalk for five or six songs, we were lucky enough to be only fifteen feet away from him. Like Fogerty, Keith Urban is an excellent live performer with a powerful voice, excellent guitar playing skills and a commanding stage presence. I go to tons of shows, but I know that I'll never see another week of excellent live music like the one I did this week. Anyone here go to any of these shows and what did they think? (added tag --1992)
  23. Can't believe they didn't pinch hit Bonds with the tieing run at the plate two different times in the 8'th. You would think his odds of getting a homer off of a rookie would be better than that off of Coco.
  24. Anyway way of knowing if he called any of those fouls???
  25. I thought that was funny by Omar. Especially when they show the replay and you could see half of the fans standing and screaming after he "dropped" the ball. Also, it was very clever. What if a Brewer fell asleep and started to run after he "dropped" the ball.
