There is no way they would want Jenkins, that would take up half of their payroll. 1st, I don't think the Marlins are even thinking about moving him, unless this is his contract year, I don't know? And if they are it would take 1 of Fielder/Hall/Weeks plus two top prospects like you guys said Braun/Gallardo/Rogers, and then that's still not enough, they are going to demand a lot, he's a good player.

why Lofton hits for a better average, is faster, and plays better defense?
  3. billyhallfan
the problem is is that your first 5 players in that line up, other than Cabrera, at least 2 or 3 of them would have to go to Florida before they even consider it. Then, it is not such a good lineup.
  4. billyhallfan
They would have to eat up a lot of his contract, more than half, and then I might be willing, if Doug doesn't have to give a whole lot up.

Oh no I see, maybe the arbitration isn't factored in on ESPN.

Why would Pittsburgh want Ohka? Maybe to pitch out of the pen, but they have some really good young guys to build around, I can't imagine how he would actually help them, and he can't really be much of a leader either since he isn't really fluent in english.

Why not just trade Hardy? That way you can leave Hall at short, where he prefers, give left to Hart since he is not awsome at defense, then sign Lofton to help Gross cover the load in center. I absolutely hate the idea of trading Hall. IMO, this team is a middle of the order bat away and maybe a pitcher away from being a contender, if you deal Hall you are not going to get both of those, you will only get one, maybe... Other than Fielder he is the only guy that hits for legitimate power, you could maybe bring Koskie or Jenkins into the picture, but I don't really don't see either of them hitting 35 hr's next year.
  9. billyhallfan
I think I might cry if Hall gets dealt... Ok, not really, but if they are going to trade him they better do it for solid major league help.

the cubs are overpaying a ton, but I am starting to get scared, they might actually be good this year.
  11. billyhallfan
    We're just dreaming...
  12. billyhallfan
    Not last year he wasn't...
  13. billyhallfan
Why not just trade Jenkins for that pitcher that Guillen sent back to the minors after he couldn't hit that one guy ( I know that's vague detail). But honestly, that pitcher has no shot in Chicago, and we don't need anything for Jenkins, we just need to dump his salary so Melvin can make a reasonable offer to those 4/5 solid pitchers still left in free agency.
  14. billyhallfan
I wouldn't, I like Hart there, even though Hall will end up in left.

I have some pictures and bobbles, and balls, but I can't take a picture because I have them packed up already because we are moving to Lake Mills.

On Talkin' Brewers Today Jim Powell said that Vinny could play shortstop in a pinch, is that where you got that from. If Powell said it, than it must be true.
  24. billyhallfan
I'm going to the post office today, so you should get my donation within the next week.

pitch league, you're right, either I was talking about us playing at the metrodome, or just imagine that I said Sheets, although the pitcher probably could bat before Moellerhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
