  7. Thanks for reminding me brewerjamie15, good luck!
  8. Must agree with dadofandrew here. It's really up to you and the lady, and if they disapprove, I guess you're finding someone else to walk her down the aisle. I guess my feeling is that while maybe it's a nice tradition, it really isn't any of their concern as long as: A: You're both adults B: There are no major monetary concerns: e.g. neither one of you has a job and the parents are left to support you or you're about to go to prison possibly C: you're a complete scumbag, which, seeing as though you're on brewerfan.net, you're not
  9. While I still enjoy a Brewers win more than a Cubs loss, I must agree with the title. I can't even describe how much rage builds up whenever I think about that stupid team and their hopelessly misguided fanbase.
  10. Emerson, Lake, Palmer, and Gumbel
  11. I better see LaPorta and Gamel in Memphis/Nashville June 30-July 5 or I will be incredibly disappointed
  12. I actually just bought a TV from Cc in January and was impressed at the level of service. In the store, they gave me the online price match ($300), plus free delivery, plus a 10% coupon I had in addition to 0% interest for a year. Best Buy had the same TV and I would have paid about $400 or more more than that. So I'm fairly happy with how it played out. And for $265, I'd definitely invest in some blu-rays and MLB 08 The Show if you have a PS3, and a PS3 if you don't.
  13. Season 3 of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia so I can watch it too
  14. I haven't seen much of the 1985 films compared to other years, but I absolutely love Witness. Harrison Ford did a great job, but I thought Kelly McGillis really nailed it. The only thing I didn't like was the soundtrack (or score, whichever it is). The synth music seemed to be out of place for a movie largely set in an Amish settlement. It detracts from the movie a little bit, but is still outstanding. Alexander Godunov(sp?) could have had a really terrific career, in my opinion. Incredible range as an actor.
  15. Something about The Todd looks like a Viking...the picture frame?
  16. Been to Miller Park, Metrodome, Wrigley, Great American, Kaufmann & Petco (plus Omaha and Des Moines) I will only comment on the one park I have been to that hasn't been mentioned yet (Petco). This was an outstanding ballpark. Caught the last two games of the Brewers series last year. Saw Braun's first MLB home run, that was pretty cool. Sat in the upper deck behind the plate for one and in the lower deck in right field for the other. The sightlines were all very good when we walked around the stadium. Didn't go on top of the warehouse, though; they warned those were obstructed view. The beach actually looked like a good place to watch the game, there was a lot of activity going on in that area before and after the Sunday game. Parking wasn't the best, but the trolley has a stop literally across the street from the stadium. We found a ramp for $10 only a few blocks away. If you're going to stay downtown, there is a hotel with a skywalk directly to the stadium. I don't remember which one. Plus, the activities around the stadium are plentiful. It's right on the edge of the Gaslight District, which is the big nightlife and entertainment area. Of course, the weather was great. In late May, the evening was cool and the afternoon was very warm, but not too hot. Don't know where we're going this year, but Pittsburgh sounds like it might be a good choice. Would have been Boston, but conflicts with other plans.
  17. Had to bump after this horrible horrible game tonight. Yet another one slips away, so I had to have a few. This sums up the season: "You can't close the leads you're given, you can't close s***, YOU ARE S***, hit the bricks, 'cause you are going out!" - Alec Baldwin - Glengarry, Glen Ross.
  18. If it's not Parr, it's probably not Thomas Dolby either.
  19. Snake: Hey, that smells like regular. She needs premium, dude! PREMIUM!!! DUDE!!!
  20. I'm surprised no one has quoted this line, unless I missed it somehow: Homer: To alcohol, the cause of...and solution to all of life's problems.
