  1. Turnbow's arm has to be dead at this point....
  2. I swear someone earlier today said, "A soft blooper for a base hit would do wonders for Prince right now."
  3. Tying run to the plate (in the form of Casey) thanks to a free pass. Nice start Kolb.
  4. Shoot. Miller's inability to move over on that passed ball proved costly. Somehow, you knew it would!
  5. Powell just stated the attendance but I missed it. Anyone?
  6. Kolb coming for the 8th!?! We need the insurance now, boys. Nice work Weeks and Koskie. Now let's not let it go to waste....
  7. Nice start for JJ this year. Makes me feel better about potentially seeing Kolb come in today.
  8. Is a lefty coming in? Is Fielder an automatic out? Do you considering putting Cirillo in or is it too early in the game??
  9. Last chance if anyone wants to just get together and toss the ball around tomorrow. I'm in western west allis and prefer not to travel far.
  10. Well, I like saturdays. Partly because it will be warmer at 2:00 on a saturday afternoon than it will be at 7:00 on a thursday night. Also because we won't be fighting the lack of daylight on a saturday. Also because saturday practices seem like a fun way to pass the afternoon ... whereas a thursday evening seems more like an errand I have to rush from work to attend. [Additionally, personally, thursday early-evenings are just bad for me because I have a family thing for dinner every week. (which I am already planning to skip for our earlier thursday night games.)]
  11. New York could get rained out. I'll plan to come out ... maybe see if my friends are interested in giving it a shot a second time.
  12. Sounds like I'll be picking up some cleats this spring. No big deal, just needed to feel it out before buying. Dunham's in west allis will be my first stop. I got my bowling shoes from there ... pretty cheap. Ahhhhhh, let's play ball!!!!
  13. Last time I brought friends to a LW BF.net event, we got there to find out it was cancelled. It was also my first LW BF.net event. That was pretty cool, looking like a fool and an idiot and wasting my friends' time. I'm still pretty upset about that....
  14. That's a good question, Iron Chef. Is everyone going to be all decked out in baseball pants and cleats? I was just planning on wearing sweat pants and sneakers. About getting together to warm up, if anyone's interested in getting together in the west allis/new berlin area to toss the ball around and such this SATURDAY, I'm all for it. Some time around noon ... just for a couple hours. There's a small field that's almost always free at the grade school on 104th, a couple blocks north of Greenfield. There's also a diamond or two on 98th-ish st, a few blocks south of Greenfield (you can see it from 894). I've got a bunch of softballs (not the exact yellow dot regulation, I don't think) and a few crappy bats we could use to hit for fielding. I think it's supposed to be fairly warm this saturday!
  15. That's a lot of info, thanks for keepig track of all that, Jamie. April 15th sounds like a long ways away to me ... I'm itching to practice! If anyone puts anything together in terms of an unofficial practice/warmup before then, please let me know.

  17. Awesome. I will be ordering mine, but maybe not until after I come back from vacation on the 20th. (Don't want the package sitting on my porch for a week.)
