  1. and now let the ESPN bashing begin. I thought that he said that if they got Roberts they then would clearly be the team to beat. Which I think they would. They won the division last year, and I think they are a better team then they were last year. I think they will win it again this year. I don't think he had enough time to go into detail on why he thought they would win the division.
  2. I have Verison and I really didn't like the coverage at first. That was until I found out that there is no roaming charges for Verison and I could use it everywhere I was. After I found that out, re uped for another 2 years and got me the sweet Palm Treo 755p. Also my girlfriend has the Verison air card for her computer because she can't get high speed internet. That thing works awesome!
  3. i'm sure there were times when Ripken should have sat due to an injury or sickness or something where he wasn't at full strength and probably hurt his team on that day. There might be a couple of examples of guys leaving while on top, but a player is going to play as long as he can. Maybe its a record he is chasing, or a career milestone, or he still thinks he can help the team, he is going to try to play. Its up to management to sit a player or go in a different direction.
  4. its not his job to take himself out of the line up.
  5. I was wondering if you were waiting for a response from him. Its a very cool picture.
  6. well, I go to watch certain players and I made it a point last year to see one of my all time favorite players play. That guy was Biggio.
  7. after being there once, I'm itching to go back. My goal is next year
  8. I really really wish I was in AZ watching the game.
  9. I think Biggio is one of the reasons people came out to watch the team. He is as big of a fan favorite there as Yount is here, at least thats what a guy from Houston told me last year. Getting Biggio to 3,000 is what the he wanted, the team wanted and the fans wanted.
  10. there is this year, or so they say
  11. its been about a year now, but I'm really sick right now, and sneezing like every 5 minutes. Every time I sneeze it feels like a million needles going through my chest, to my neck and exploding through my arms.
  12. I don't know If I'm the only one that gets this, but when I sneeze a pain shoots from my neck through my arms that is so strong that I can't hold on to anything. Then leaves them numb for about 10 seconds followed by arm fatigue like I have been working out for hours. Does anyone else have this problem or know what might be causing it? I am pretty sick right now, but I get the pain even when I'm not sick. My sneezes aren't the little ones either, they are pretty violent and come in bunches. Any help would be awesome.
  13. no kidding. wow, must not like its picture taken.
  14. In July my friends and I will be driving to NY for vacation for a week. While we are there we are going to a Yankees vs Red Sox game at Yankee Stadium. Might take a tour of the park while we are there too. Has anyone been there before? Can you go down by the field before the game like you can at MP? How are the fans? any information would be helpful, thanks.
  15. I used the same glove for a long time, probably close to 10 years. I retired the glove because it had no padding in the palm left and I really bruised my hand last year so every time I caught a ball it would put me to the ground in pain. Getting a new glove was tough for me, it was like I lost my gf, or my dog just died. I don't let anyone use my glove, that would be like letting someone sleep with my gf. I like fstorm play a ton of ball, so being really comfortable in a glove is very important. The one I have now is an Easton, its pretty good, but nothing compares to my old one.
  16. the Branman at an autograph signing. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j290/jason21nl/n841585033_2288505_7209.jpg
  17. My friends and I just bought 12 total tickets for that day. My first Wrigley experience hopefully the Crew can make it a good one.
  18. I'm not a photoshop wizard but I thought this was kinda cool. http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j290/jason21nl/moooons2.jpg
  19. he is now out as the head coach. $750,000 buyout and can't sue for wrongful termination.
  20. thanks, i have it in a couple more pics too. I needed to get it in there even though it looks just like another star
  21. by the hole in the wall that was clearly a rocket off the wall and it came back so fast that he almost got killed. Took great athletic talent to just to get out of the way. Orrrrrrrr something like that
  22. I like Johnny Cash doing the song Hurt. I hurt myself today To see if I still feel I focus on the pain The only thing that's real The needle tears a hold The old familiar sting Try to kill it all away But I remember everything [ Chorus: ] What have I become My sweetest friend Everyone I know goes away In the end And you could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt I wear this crown of thorns Upon my liar's chair Full of broken thoughts I cannot repair Beneath the stains of time The feelings disappear You are someone else I am still right here [ Chorus: ] What have I become My sweetest friend Everyone I know goes away In the end And you could have it all My empire of dirt I will let you down I will make you hurt If I could start again A million miles away I would keep myself I would find a way
  23. I used to live off of ramen noodles. Seriously, when I wanted to buy something and I knew it would leave me with next to no money, I would buy a box of noodles and only eat them for a week or two at a time. I haven't had them in probably 2 years, but in ever a pinch, I'll hit them up again.
  24. a picture of the moon last night.
  25. i used to love Berman and his nicknames. As I grew older, the less and less I liked him. Now I really can't stand to listen to him. I agree that his call on the highlight with the whoop! was horrible. If you ever read Steve Czabans website he rips Berman and ESPN all the time. Berman also now has some youtube outtakes that make him look even more stupid.
