  1. Lepay is just awesome. I like how excited he gets after a touchdown or a big basket and a foul. We have really good announcers for all sports in the state of WI.
  2. you're such a dink http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I get what you're saying, and yeah, I agree. However, if you have an autographed ball on the sweet spot, but the autograph looks bad, the value, and the grade will go down. So I guess there are a lot of different things that can determine the value of the ball.
  3. my point is, they grade out the same. They do sell for more at times but the over all value of the ball is the same. Its up to the collector on what they want. Like for me, an autographed ball is an autographed ball. I could careless where they sign it. He asked the value of the ball, not the value of the ball sold on ebay. So the value of the ball is the same either on the sweet spot, or anywhere else. Thats my point that ball right now will be around $50, if he puts up 18-20 wins this year, it will go up big time in value.
  4. I don't get it either. I was as bummed out as anyone about the Packers losing. I at first said I wasn't going to watch the Super Bowl. I mean, I don't care about either one of these teams. Then I took a step back and thought, Its the freaking Super Bowl. Its the number 1 game of the year. Its the last real game I get to see for a very long time. It was the Pats going for perfection, vs huge underdogs. Its football, and football will always, always, always be better than watching commercials. I thought the commercials sucked except for a couple. The baby buying stocks or whatever it was, and then getting a clown and saying how he underestimated the creppyness of clowns was the best. I can't remember the whole thing, but I laughed, because I too think clowns are very creepy
  5. I honestly could careless about the halftime show. Halftime is for getting more food. I did watch the halftime show today and I liked it.
  6. I have watched that interview on TWC sports ch 32. a couple times. I will agree with what molitor fan wrote. DM also said something like Yost doesn't want to hurt anyones feelings and that gets him in trouble. I can't remember the exact quote, but it was something to that extent.
  7. I'm going to have to go with Hells Bells for Hoffman.
  8. I have read in a number of magazines that the value of a ball signed on the horseshoe is no different than a ball signed on the sweet spot. I do like autographs on the sweet spot, and for the most part, they are harder to get signed. but if a player like Braun only can sign on the horseshoe I'm not going to complain The PSA Autographed Baseball Grading Guide Sweet Spot versus Side Panel Autographs The location of the autograph will have no bearing on the grade of the autograph. Yes, it is true that many collectors prefer the aesthetics of a ball signed on the Sweet Spot versus the Side Panel; however, PSA will not factor this characteristic into the overall grade of the signature and ball. On the other hand, Sweet Spot signatures do tend to sell for a premium in the market but, once again, PSA is not making judgments based on market values - the grade is based strictly on condition and signature strength. A label of SS (Sweet Spot) or SP (Side Panel) will accompany the grade/authentication and it will be registered in our database as such. The one way that placement may affect the grade is when the location, whether the autograph is on the sweet spot or side panel, is placed in a poor location for display. For example, an autograph that is signed on the sweet spot but severely off-center side-to-side or top-to-bottom may hinder the grade. The lack of eye-appeal can affect the grade of the autograph and/or the overall grade.
  9. what type of ball do you use? The type of ball used goes a long way to deciding what bat you should buy.
  10. I would love to go to this when I'm old enough. I just don't think I'll ever have the money to be able to go.
  11. its playoffs or bust for Yost this year. Even if major injuries happen I think he still needs to find a way to get his team to the playoffs. I also think that Yost will be on short rope.
  12. not really sure how Appleton makes the top 10 worst cities in WI. If anything, it would make top 5 to live in
  13. getting taxes back, and then paying off bills right away. I love the feeling of getting rid of debt.
  14. For me, I enjoy collecting the bobbles but I'm never going to get them all. If I owned that bobble, it would be on ebay tonight. $400 would go a long way towards other stuff.
  15. Id probably freeze and look like a moron.
  16. am I the only one that thinks the college gameday basketball commercials with the little talking heads coming out of the guys body is really weird and creepy?
  17. I don't know how many times I heard that Reyes is the most exciting player in baseball last year. That might be true because of the flat out speed he has, steals, doubles into triples etc...that being said, going with Ramirez. Chicks dig the power and long ball, and so does this guy.
  18. I'm old, I'm in bed at like 11....I suck
  19. the words of Patrick Ewing "We might make a lot of money but, we also spend a lot of money."
  20. I think all games are important, from #1 to #162. The season won't be over if we don't win, but if we come out of the gates being swept, it won't be long before changes are made. So I think the first couple series of the year are going to be very important
  21. i was born in arizona, lived in Indiana, England twice and in WI since 89. Where am I from?..... I'm going to go with WI since I have lived over half of my life here
  22. a sweet discount on electronics and cables
  23. whats sad is if you asked the average fan outside of WI this question, they would probably think that Green Bay is considered part of Milwaukee. Id hate to be a fan of a team living in North or South Dakota, or anywhere that doesn't have a pro sports team. Those people have it bad
  24. 2,100! 3,000 here I come
  25. we have had conversations in the past about taking pictures. Your pictures are amazing! Ha, no kidding...I see that some of your pictures are taken with a 30d(very nice camera). For some reason I thought you were a Nikon guy? In late March I'll be upgrading from my d50 to the d300..Very excited for the move
