  1. right now, luck has nothing to do with not benig able to hit a breaking ball.
  2. according to yost he is just unlcuky right now and can't find a hole. He's got zero luck right now," Yost said. "He cannot find a hole. I thought Rickie had good at-bats [Friday] night, he's just got nothing to show for it." yeah, thats exaclty what it is Ned
  3. If Rickie Weeks would return to his offensive best and be put further up in the order, the Gwynn rants would not even be happening the TGJ rants have nothing to do with weeks. The fact that he can't hit does. The fact that he didn't earn his way back up to the MLB team ticks me off.
  4. Sure they can. Good teams lose series to bad teams all the time, especially on the road. It's baseball. please people stop with the its baseball. We get that its baseball, really we do. The Brewers should beat the Nats and a crappy pitcher and had better start winning these games because they are going need them in the end.
  5. mlb cathes another star using a banned substance. Next we'll hear him say he did nothing wrong and will appeal his suspention. Later that week he will drop the appeal and apologize to his family and fan.
  6. I hope he doesn't but I wouldn't doubt that Ned puts Estrada back in the 5th spot
  7. I think that its time to make a move in the OF. With another hole in the lineup day in and day out I don't think this team will score enough runs to win. Try to go out and get a big bat like JD. I wouldn't think that TGJs name would mean that much in Milwaukee but I guess it does to some.
  8. Thats major league baseball, get used to it. holy crap how many times do I have to hear someone telling someone else how baseball works. Yeah, we get it, baseball has ups and downs, good teams lose to bad teams from time to time. I get it! doesn't mean I have to like it. also, I said before that just because the Brewers are playing the Pirates again doesn't mean that all of a sudden they are going to roll them.
  9. being flashy and diving all around won't always get you hurt. but eventually it will take its toll on the body and injuries might come along later on in the career. Hall had no shot at catching the ball but gave it a good try. There are times when not trying to make the great play, is the best play. LIke diving for a ball instead of just keeping it in front of you. I'll take hall being agressive any day.
  10. I love baseball for a number of reasons. I love it for the competition, for the speed the players play the game. A person that isn't a fan of the game might say the game is slow paced. There is nothing really slow about baseball. Any given pitch will be between 85-95 mph. nothing slow about that. The quick turn of a DP, the diving stab in the outfield, hitting a ball in the gap and streching it into a triple. I love all of that. Then when all hope seems gone a player stepping up and hitting a walk off homerun. Going to the games with 40,000 strangers and giving them high fives like they are your closest friend when something good happens. Those are a few of the many reasons I love this game. What are yours? sorry if this sounded corny or something, I was just sitting here thinking about how much I love baseball.
  11. I know he is quick, but I just thought we were done with all the growing pains of someone having to learn CF while CF is the hardest position to play in the OF I think Hart will have a much easier time to learn it than Billy did. He has been in the OF for a couple years now and has had time to adujst to the OF.
  12. I shaved my beard so when I go outside my face doesn't get hot anymore i hear you there, I also shaved mine. Not only was it hot, it itched bad. The Nats are horrible so maybe I'll start another right along with the Brewers starting a winning streak.
  13. good thing this is the easy part of the schedule and the Brewers will start to pull away again. sorry, this was supposed to be in blue
  14. if the driver picture is still around, id like that. I love how driver plays the game
  15. Perhaps, but I think fans get hung up on stuff like that more than the actual players do. Do you think Prince cares that the Pirates owned the Crew in 2004? probably not, but I'm sure he has heard all about the Brewers not being able to win there. He hit a ball that he thought was gone and it ended up not even being close to going out. Then he took it out on the water coolers. I think that plays in the players mind a little.
  16. You think his problem is that he's just not trying hard enough? What evidence suggests such an explanation? if anything he is probably trying to hard. when players go into slumps they sometimes will go into the cages and over hit, over look at video tape over do everything. at least thats what Brady Clark said he would do. I know its tough to compare Clark to Weeks but I'm sure a lot of MLB players do that. Its like when you try to hit HRs they don't come, but when you just try to make good contact they starting leaving the yard. I think the wrist is really bothering him right now. I think he should be sat out the games leading to the all star game to give him some time off. So that way he can be as healthy as he is going to be leading into the second half.
  17. maybe during the time it might not mean anything to let a player advance one base but if that run comes into score and it effects the outcome of the game. maybe the offical scorer should change the ruling at the end of the game from defensive indifference to a SB. just throwing it out there
  18. But how about 2004 (2-6 in PITT), 2002 (3-6 in PITT), and 2001 (1-9 in PITT)? Granted, those were COMPLETELY different teams back then (even 2004) but still those were just all around bad Brewers teams playing bad Pirates teams. How horrible was that to watch? yikes
  19. I was watching them debate the other day about d wade and the flying tomato and thought to myself how stupid this is. I wish they would just go back to sports highlights and stop with this crap. also, please stop making little movies. They have yet to make one that is any good and the new one that is coming out looks to be horrible as well
  20. It simply makes no sense to concern yourself with a meaningless runner that runner is not always meaningless though. In the texas game a player stole second to get into scoring positon. The next batter singled and scored the guy from second to tie the game. Thats not meaningless because the runner never would have scored from first on that hit. I personally don't like that rule, it should be a stolen base to me. He was on first, now he is on second, he took that base. It shouldn't matter if one team cared or not. Either way, he still took that base. and sometimes, taking that base can lead to a win, like the texas game.
  21. its winning on the road that the Brewers year in and year out can't seem to do. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but PNC seems to be a pitchers park. The Brewers rely on the HR ball. The only time they scored today was on a 3 run shot and you don't get many of those at PNC. The ball weeks hit to end the game might have gone at MP. I don't think the park plays well for the crew. of course I could totally be way off, but i think it has something to do with it
  22. just saw that on BBTN and had to laugh. So glad that guy is gone
  23. BHF are you still going to get me the Cirillo bobble?..I think the deal was that I would still owe you 15 bucks and something else, but I can't remember what that was. Just let me know, thanks
  24. Also has anyone noticed that Princes average is down to 275 and he really seems to be pressing. and he is starting to get really frustrated. I just got done watching highlights and he just got under one today and flew out. He came back to the dugout and starting punching the gatorade coolers. So I would say its safe to assume that he is pressing right now
  25. Yeah, I would like that too. I really enjoy looking at other peoples pictures from the games.
