  1. "This thread is awesome..." I couldn't agree more -- I have been loading up the Que with all of the suggestions here Thanks! -- In fact I just was able to bump my wife's "The Wedding Date" pick into the "we will never see this" part of my Que -- Thanks Again!! I know these are old(er) movies -- but in case people like me missed them -- I would say these are must-see (IMO of course) -- The Believer -- Identity -- Fraility --
  2. From the FTJ Netflix Que. 1.) Running Scared -- I loved this movie. Very entertaining. 2.) Walk the Line -- I didnt care for this -- particularly J.P.'s portrayal -- He made Cash seem more "odd" than anything else to me. I grew up watching Johnny Cash on TV a lot -- the portrayal just didnt seem right. I also wish the movie would have focused less on his romance with June and more on his later life. 3.) The Heirloom -- Asian Horror tends to freak me out, so I am always watching them -- this one was average -- it had an interesting story based on legends of "feeding child ghosts".
  3. States are interesting as well.... I lived in the state of Oregon for a nuber of years --- Out west it's "Oregin" -- anywhere else people say "Oregon". Oregonians will go ninja on you in a heartbeat if you say "Oregon" -- funny thing is almost all of them say "IllinoiSSSS" instead of "flatlanders" Glad to oblige Hawing ...
  4. The elderly bug me -- on a lot of things -- But here is one in particular. Whenever I am waiting in line at the local grocer's, old people always grab a newspaper and then advance to the front of the line, and then chuck their change at the cashier regardless of who or what is transacting. Apparently when you get to be 65, you get to cut in line and whip quarters at cashiers, and get to find out what combination of pills makes Walker Texas Ranger enjoyable to watch.
  5. It would be neat to have a "Hash-re-Hash" thread where people could have endless and ongoing debates about the same topics, seperate of course from the MLB thread -- Topics could be... Lee V. Jenkins Fire Ned Yost Stats v. Intangibles Let's win THIS year
  6. "Anyone else excited for this movie? I know I am." Yeah --- I am so stoked to see SOAP that I will like it no matter what happens.
  7. "Capote: Hoffman was superb, but the basis of the movie seemed to be "let's watch Hoffman channel Capote for a while and call it a movie." It wasn't terribly interesting." I couldn't agree more -- I think they really could have done a better job with the idea that Capote needed the killers to die so he could have finished his book.
  8. I was watching the game early on -- left at 2-0 -- now it is 7-2 -- should have YOst got ran?
  9. Jimbo -- Great stuff -- Please keep it up! "T - 1:00 Att. - 3 Winds - calm" That cracked me up. (From Boxscore) I wished I lived closer to Milw. -- Perhaps next year we can do a Madison area team? or something to that effect?
  10. Awesome thread -- good job by all contributors. I love the photoshop work -- Someone (with way more skills than me) should build a page that takes the best "facts" and pictures and puts them all in one place. I am sure it would get noticed. This thread will generate a lot of chuckles in the future.
  11. Bill Hall is his own father and brother. Bill Hall understands the balk rule Bill Hall ate just one Bill Hall won an Emmy for his play at 2b Roger Clemens is hiding from Bill Hall. The Hall of Fame used to be called -- The historic baseball center at Cooperstown. Bill Hall is his own firewall
  12. Here goes nothing..... Bill Hall struck out the mighty Casey.... Miller Park never had a retractable roof until Bill Hall got a little warm one day... On the Fourth day, God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. Later that afternoon Bill Hall batted them into their orbits. Bill Hall understands Yogi Berra Bill Hall hit for the cycle once, in the same AB Bill Hall turns Miracle Whip into Secret Stadium Sauce. Bill Hall caught a foul ball once, playing center field. In between innings Bill Hall discovered the largest possible prime number, and then successfully divided every single smaller number into that bad boy -- without a remainder. Bill Hall never leaves a remainder. Bill Hall cannot be cloned Keep the photoshop work coming!!
  13. Rafael Roque -- signs with the United League http://www.oursportscentral.com/services/releases/?id=3297538
  14. wow -- thats great -- too bad they didnt pick up on the "Lets worry about Fielder" thread. I think that thread is largely responsible for Fielder starting too hit http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  15. A couple I have seen that I really liked -- that might have come in under the radar.... "Dead and Breakfast" -- Great zombie tongue in cheek movie. Some really funny scenes in it. "The Believer" -- Probably one of the best movies I have seen in a long time.
  16. Yeah -- I put my address in -- as originally it pegged me living in the suburbs of Rio-- However I live in the heart of the Rio-metro area. I felt the need to make the distinction. County C all the way!
  17. I'm in -- this looks like a Risk map.
