  1. The team is still young They will make some mistakes, yes But some will blame Yost Fire Ned Yost dot com. Ned will be rested tonight Sveum's hands still in pants.
  2. Hey Joey, I'm well But what are you saying here? If they don't like boobs... No gripes with boobs hate Some of my best friends hate boobs I am just saying....
  3. Pogo, can I ask Why? That's something we all say Let us have our fun! Hi Don, How are you. The mods are not into boobs. It appears to me.
  4. Yost said that wasn't a called play, I'm calling BS. This was my first reaction -- Prince stopped half-way -- Maybe Prince screwed up a signal or something, or Leyva messed up, but it didn't look like a renegade straight steal attempt. If Prince can only get about half-way on a straight steal attempt -- He should not run ever.
  5. There are young players on the team that will make mistakes. In theory I agree -- however, I think that Yost has instilled an "agressive baserunning" ethos with the club -- the Brewers have been making a lot of base-running blunders -- at the end of the day, that should end up as Ned's responsibility. He is a good hitting pitcher, A good hitting pitcher is generally still a bad, hitter and makes a H&R much more of a gamble Sometimes it work, sometimes it doesn't. You can say this about any event regardless if the outcome is good or bad... The bad idea about this -- you have the top of your lineup coming up, Bush, while a good hitting pitcher, is a weak H&R candidate overall. It's better to bunt IMO, and give the top of your lineup an opportunity to hit with a RISP -- Heck, it would have even been smarter to let Bush hit away. If Bush had so obviously lost it, then how come he struck out the last batter of the inning so easily? He struck out the pitcher -- who has 20Ks in 33 ABs -- that is the simple answer. But, since CV got out of it, that was a good move, and since Bush hung a pitch, that was a bad move. CV outside of his first appearance, has been a lot more reliable than Bush -- I would tend to have a quicker hook (6+ ERA) with Bush than I would with CV.
  6. The "double steal" with your clean up hitter at the plate was just dumb, For what it's worth -- Ned said in the post-game that this was not a "double steal" called from the bench. Ned said something to the effect of "Hardy screwed up by running" -- which may be true. The part that puzzles me though, is if the play wasn't called. Why is Prince running in that situation? -- does he have the green light? I can't imagine Prince thinks he is going to be in the 30-30 club.
  7. It's unfortunate that Yost is so stupid and didn't notice like the rest of us. I agree wholeheartedly mikerollins Each member of BF.net take an inning for the rest of the year. Obviously we would be better for it. We couldn't be much worse. I don't know if I would go this far -- though it is an interesting idea. He didnt pitch like he was gassed. He had thrown 78 pitches through 6 2-hit innings. He was fine in innings 1-6 -- He ended up with 111 pitches, so if your count is correct -- he threw 33 pitches in the 7th inning -- that is a good indication that your pitcher is struggling. To say he was "gassed" as though it was obvious to everyone is just silly. He had lost his velocity and his breaking stuff was hanging. Facing the pitcher is what got him out of the inning. He definitely looked spent to me. Dave Bush now has a 6.02 ERA and there is a reason for it -- when in trouble, Bush has a hard time getting out of it -- especially with his pitch count over 100. He has given up a lot of big innings, and probably something that Ned should keep an eye on a little closer. I think it is pretty hard to defend leaving in a pitcher with a 6+ ERA in over 100 pitches in the middle of a 30+ pitch inning.
  8. AJ, do you have the stats on Spurling for inherited runners? His ERA is better than I thought it would be. I looked Spurling has only 1 IR and that guy scored.. His ERA is only 3.18, but his WHIP is 2.65!!. He only has one walk, so he is pretty much out there pitching batting practice -- He has obviously been the beneficiary of LOBs. His last 2 outings have been "better". Bush was gassed, Spurling should have come in earlier, or perhaps even Tbow. There are lots of things to point Ned's way after this game.
  9. Yost has big Thursday Getting sleepy in dugout Dale Sveum hands in pants. Big Prince steal second In dreams big Prince running fast J. J. out at home. Man on third one out Yawn, Why Svuem hands out of pants? Bill Hall out at home. Aggressive is fun Dave Bush never whiffs in dreams Graffiano screwed. Dave Bush hits the wall Crack snore Crack snore Boom Boom Snore Loud noises means no nap Brewers not winning? Dreams and reality blurred Spurling owns in dreams. 10. Interesting post-game baserunning notes from Ned. There was no 2xsteal -- Prince was running on his own, Hardy decided to break on his own. Contact play was on with Hall -- Yost said that was a mistake. Yost thought H&R with Graffy/Bush was great aggressive baseball -- and "they are trying to win games". Ned talked as if "safe baseball" is the worst thing he could do.
  11. If not, he definitely would have been in after the first home run. Why not bring Tbow in?
  12. brewers game this game away maybe they need to tone down the aggressive base running. Aggressive is what you call stupid when you get lucky. Mench cannot hit RHP. You have two LH outfileders on your bench. You are down 2 runs with one out. Both of those guys get on base at near a .400 clip aginst RHP. Yeah -- Glad we saved Gross for tomorrow http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  13. You are bound to right once in awhile. C'mon man quit being such a prick. All you do is berate posters that question what Yost does. You have yet to add anything constructive to a thread yet. Good for you. Making a pitching change is not always the answer. It was the answer tonight. Bad for us.
  14. Saying that is on Billy is very funny. If you are going to complain, know what you are talking about. Right. Ned Yost is the one to yell at here.
  15. Don't forget the impact of having a brilliant tactical mind in the dugout, pushing just the right buttons at just the right time. Brewers' Brain trust http://www.ageslibrary.com/temp/magic8ball.jpg
  16. Am I the only one that dosen't find her to be anything special? Yes. Cleary you need your eyes and perhaps other parts checked.
  17. I started to spell my own last name That's a great idea -- I could do that for my son -- are Sheets and Weeks the only Brewers? -- His name is "Tate" -- so I could get the T from Sheets and the E from Weeks -- any ideas on the other T and A? (I said T&A, heh)
  18. I voted again! Turnin up the heat!
  19. OK -- I voted for Kate, and then the 2 last place gals.
  20. I wonder -- If we voted for 2 other people, other than Kate, or the gal from the US Army would that help bring the vote total down from the Army gal?
  21. Im in -- Go Kate!
  22. I don't think the gambling problem is nec. the crux of Tony's financial woes.. Here is what I got out of the episode. 1.) Tony loses Vito and his best source of income. 2.) Phil killed Vito. 3.) Tony has to deal with Vito Jr. and a 100K house/move. 4.) Phil killed Vito, and refuses to deal with Vito Jr., and the house 5.) Phil is feeling a money pinch from gambling and debt to Hersch. While the gambling is part of it -- I think it is also important to understand that losing Vito cost Tony, and perhaps the gambling was a way to recoup some of those earnings, and now he throws good money after bad. I think that Phil v. Tony is going down soon. I suspect as well that Tony's guys are going to have to start earning more here soon as well. I hope that is what is getting set up here at least, otherwise I don't see any reason to bring Vito's wife and/or kids into the storyline. Not a super episode by any means.
  23. I find it interesting that the Brewers could take first and have a lower payroll next year after dumping: After "dumping" CoCo? He is 9 for 9, and arguably our MVP at this point
  24. Melvin/Yost should swallow their pride and admit to Capellan they made the wrong decision out of spring training. The question that I have -- aside from the Nashville AWOL situation and all the pissing and moaning -- is that, there was a reason Capellan didn't make the team -- he was not hitting the gun where he should have been, or his location was not impressive I am not sure exactly what was "wrong", but is this issue resolved?? -- It is silly to think (for example) if Capellan can't hit his velocity that he is going to be an asset to the pen. Capellan the pitcher was sent to Nashville out of ST, not Capellan the whiner. I don't think that DM needs to "admit he was wrong" -- If Capellan isn't pitching well, you might as well keep Spurling and Aquino in place. If Capellan can help us win games, then bring him up, -- but if he is still "out of shape" or whatever, he is going to get lit up. ----- Continued here: viewtopic.php?f=63&t=30524
  25. I about pee'd myself when Dwight went on his "goats on chickens, chickens on goats, 2 chickens on a goat with pigs watching... the artist got it right" farm rant.
