  1. I'd be happy if a Brewer wins, but if Prince gets it based on having more RBI and HR than the field I will be kind of upset. Then again, if Braun finishes at around .335/.400/.600 with a 30/30 season (only 4 CS so far!) and a batting title, I can't see him not winning.
  2. Thing is, the Brewers look like they're centering on this scrub's pitches pretty well. If Marcum can keep it close they've got a good chance of rocking him the 3rd time through. (although I think the buccos were planning on a quick hook for him in his first start)
  3. I like the lineup. I predict 5+ hits for the Kots, Counsell, Kottaras part of the order.
  4. As much as I love Prince, I'm rooting for Braun for NL MVP.
  5. Yo got rattled when the ump squeezed him. Tossing up some fat pitches now
  6. Anyone know the wind situation in the stadium? Supposedly the best conditions for a knuckler is a slight breeze to center.
  7. Yup. I remember he owned the '08 team at Miller Park as a 23 year old (right around the day Braun signed his 1st extension), but nowadays Kershaw is the real stud in LA.
  8. Today and yesterday: 3 runs, 2 wins. Hooray for pitching/Pirates.
  9. No doubt. Me and my dad say that all the time. Horrible rule.I've always wanted to see an 0-2 wild pitch where a batter decides that instead of just taking the pitch, he flails in the general direction of the plate and starts running to first...interesting to see how the umps would handle that.
  10. Wow two absolutely horrendous calls on the basepaths this afternoon. Honestly how do you miss that?
  11. Morton's pitching well, but he's gotten away with some FAT pitches to good hitters.
  12. X's are symmetrical...why does it matter if there's a backside? / Anybody know what BA means by that?
  13. Pirates are squaring up on everything, and Marcum isn't hitting his spots...get through the 1st with no more than a run though and he should be okay
  14. Mitch Williams is a bad analyst, but he's grown on me since he's worked at MLB Network. Not sure why...
  15. A .250/.300/.330 line (or whatever Kotsay has now) batting 3rd wouldn't even be acceptable on the current Astros squad.
  16. Bud's actually been Houston's best pitcher this year, not that that's saying much. He's still solid though, provided his blister problem doesn't reemerge. Disappointed not to see Hairston in place of either Kotsay, Counsell, or even Lopez (Betancourt I begrudgingly understand).
  17. Well that was a load of crap. Hope we pound the Ambassadors tomorrow
  18. Remember when Tony baited Yost into retaliating and we blew a game down the stretch in 07? Hopefully RR is smarter than that
  19. Cards lineup is solid top to bottom. Ours not so much...need Greinke to be sharp.
  20. Hopefully this is just a Sunday thing...If Hairston isn't ahead of Yuni and McGehee on the depth chart, he should at least be the pick over the Kotsay/Counsell/Wilson group of suckiness.
