    I like a guy hitting .230 in the last month batting in the 3 hole. Hall is getting some clutch hits but overall since replacing Hardy he has struggled at the plate.

    I missed the show that morning. Host was either Chuck Freeman or the rookie. Freeman seems to be more rounded on the sports scene. Sydney is on there for Packer news. I could live with us taking Joba.

    I have never heard a broadcaster say they could predict what was going to happen based on the stats. My point is that the broadcasters are giving you some history to the events taking place. So if Bill Hall has a big night against the right handed pitcher it has not been the norm for this season. Cannot see calling the FSN staff ignorant for doing good of prep work for a baseball game. I worked in the broadcast industry for 5 years after college. It takes a lot of time to be prepared for a live sporting event in front and behind the camera. It was a true fact that Bill Hall's splits were very lopsided. Doesn't matter how small the sample size was, it was is production. Sometimes people that love certain players hate to see anything bad written or said about them.

    I am continuously amazed about how ignorant the FSN crew is about small samples. Every April and May, the tv guys are just amazed by some insane split that just destroys logic. last year it was the fact that Jenkins magically started hitting lefties. Bill even had some ridiculous theory behind why Jenkins learned how to hit them. They'd be better off just ignoring stats altogether until after the all star b.[/i] This not being ignorant in any way. They are just showing the facts of the game being played. Bill Hall has not been hitting right handers at this time. It doesn't matter how small the sample size is. It was a factoid to how Bill Hall's season has been going. Broadcasting at any level tries to bring out facts that may make the game interesting and tell the stories that go along with the game being played. They have all this research and pull up these things to help the fans better understand certain parts of the game.So if the Brewers are 0-20 in the 8th inning with 2 outs and runners on base we should disregard that stat?

    If someone knows of a good site to find splits, let me know. I was amazed when FSN showed that Billy is hitting over .400 against lefties (with 1.000+ OPS) and around .230 against righties. I know, batting average isn't looked highly upon by many on this site, but that's a pretty amazing difference. I saw those stats also this weekend. I think MLB.com might help.

    Thank God. Dana's gone. Hopefully gone to AAA. You would take his spot in the rotation?? He is going to be up here for teh time being. We do not have much to replace him right now. Need to start hitting the ball today.

    Evidently you never saw Lee May play for the Orioles back in the 70's I have vague memories of him. I am my mid 30's. Benji and Storm'n Gorman has some great streaks in their day.

    I hate Jenks because he maybe the most streakiest player I can ever remeber. He is either really hot or ice cold. If we did not have Wise I wonder sometimes what I pen would look like. Another find for the team.

    If I remember right, he got a hit in his last at-bat last night You are right it was the time before. I turned off the game last night early in frustration. Thanks for correcting my bad call. The team could not hit Schmidt last night

    OK, Jenkins haters... now whatcha got to say? I have to say he is hot for now. I seen him look bad last night in his last at bat swing at one in the dirt. I will give him props he is hot right now. Will he cool off in the second half??

    I saw young Yost play in the Northwest League couple of years ago. He seemed average with the bat, and it is a wood bat league. He was not anything great behind the plate. He seems like your normal hardworking player with limited skills. One thing that stood out from the games I watched is that you could tell he was a smart player. There were better athletes on the team but at times put themselve ahead of the team.

    Jenkins or Lee????????????? Seems to me Carlos is a bit more clutch. Jenkins most likely would have hacked for three pitches or popped out to 2B. Pay the money to ride that horse.

    Sure is a scary thought, plus we may want revenge on his ex-team. Seems like the guys we should rock we don't and tough pitchers we have big games against them. Pirates seem to be a thorn in our side also. Need to have the bats come alive early tonight to set the tone. Hope that Koskie can make an impact on his first start tonight.

    Hope that Cap proves people wrong that think it was a fluke last year. He was a good propsect till arm problems hurt him with the D-backs. I knew he was a steal when we got him in the Sexson deal. I love his makeup and stuff. He is one of the better 3s in the NL

    Typical Doug Davis cannot I get out of the first couple innings without giving up a run. When he and Sheets can come out and fire some blanks up on the board we will be a playoff team.
