    I agree, he does not look like the second coming of Barry. A lot of his new weight is in his legs. Since we now have a discussion, I think the trolling worked, and I believe it is mean spirited and unnecessarily negative. Also, it is not a given if another player did the same thing, we would all jump on him. C'mon, this is supposed to be Fun! (Kotsay for MVP, lol)

    Back in the day in Dayton, when Mrs. and I were young with a new family, we were Red's fans. We got to enjoy the "Big Red Machine." Of course, it was not hard to like such good baseball. Later, Mrs. Lapril loved his work at Detroit, she and her Dad were great fans, being from northern Ohio (the family had a Cleveland/Detroit mason-Dixon line). I always liked this guy, thought he was an excellent manager, and a fun guy to watch. First two son's had their first games in Cincinnati. RIP Sparky, thanks for the fun!

    I never thought when I started that thread it would be my best shot at "immortality." Of a sort. I was just feeling silly then, and at the time, Bill was in his superman mode. It was great that so many had fun with it, even now!

    Same here. I was there with my son, who I see rarely as he lives in Siberia (really). It was an incredible day and moment.

    Feature drink: The Cory Hart "dribbler". So weak you will never get your date to second base. Prince Burger: Fried tofu, grilled portabella mushroom, Swiss cheese, tomato, onion, lettuce on a whole wheat bun. No beef, but still a homer.

    "Soup of Day" You never know what it is, but it usually gets cold after the first three spoonfuls. Anglel "Solome Sandwich" on rye with mustard. Boston baked "Bush" beans.

    I suggest you ask your rep to let you sit in some just to see before you buy. They are really close in, but you have to see if it is worth it.

    Wonder if they will have a "Ruben" Quevedo, which is a Reuben with triple cheese.

    I remember hearing that he may have carried some "baggage" with him, possibly not a good team guy. In light of that, I find this quote from him interesting: "I've wanted to be here for a long time. I've made a lot of changes, and it's going great so far." The story never elaborates on what changes those were.
